Vineyard Monrovia family...you don't want to miss today's message (5/10/2026) - I think it is one of the most important and relevant things I've preached on in my entire tenure here as pastor (going on 9 years!)

The text is from Hebrews 9:14:

"Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered Himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins."

There is so much more here than I've ever seen before! Find us on FB Live at 10 AM PT.

A new bill in Uganda could mean all Ugandans, including Christians, would be under Islamic (Sharia) law.

What does that mean for Christians? Simply put, the law will prevent any conversions from Islam. And non-Muslims will no longer be able to seek legal justice in a family, custody or inheritance dispute involving a Muslim.
In many countries where Sharia courts exist, Christian converts can be executed and women and children stripped of their rights (careers, education and access to legal representation). Sharia law creates loopholes to force women and girls to convert to Islam, and Christians are forbidden to worship openly.

As you can tell, there is a huge need for prayer for Christians and all non-Muslims in Uganda. The bill is now in the Committee stage—the best time to oppose the law. The committee might invite religious leaders, civil society and legal experts to scrutinize the pending legislation. From there, the committee will prepare a report and make recommendations to parliament.

Please pray with us for our family in Uganda …

Please join me in praying for the eight children who tragically lost their lives in today’s horrific act of senseless violence, for their families, friends and classmates, and for the entire Shreveport community.

As a community leader, I have searched for the words to express my sorrow for this tragedy, but simply fall short. No earthly words can provide the needed comfort following this heinous act.

John 11:35 states, “Jesus wept.” The humanity of our Savior is clearly depicted in that verse. Today, our community mourns the loss of these eight innocent lives. Christ’s words as he mourned the loss of Lazarus showed his humanity, his empathy, his love to the friends and family of his friend. Tonight I ask our Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace to surround the family and friends of these eight innocent lives with the peace and love that only He can provide.

We weep as a community and we lean on the Lord‘s understanding. May He provide the comfort needed in the days ahead to all affected by the senseless act of violence.
