United Methodist Church of Monroeville Indiana The Monroeville United Methodist Church was founded in 1848. Our Mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

In 1848 the Monroeville Methodist Episcopal Church was organized as a class. They met in homes until the United Brethren Church erected a log church and their meetings were held in common. A new church home was built in 1865. By then there were 68 members and 120 in Sunday School. By 1895 the congregation had outgrown the 1865 building and erected a brick church home on South St. At that time the membership was 200. Improvements have been made on the 1895 building over the years.

Monroeville UMC is having a combined Good Friday service with Hope United Methodist Church . 7:00 PM. Friday March 29. Come join us as we remember this historical event in the life of Jesus our only source of salvation.
