What a beautiful way to prepare for Shavuot!
CTeen Orange gathered for a special evening of baking delicious cheesecakes to bring home and share the sweetness of the holiday with their families.
The teens also had the opportunity to stand beneath a beautiful chuppah and explore one of Shavuos’ most powerful messages: that at Mount Sinai, the Jewish people entered into an eternal covenant with Hashem. Just as a bride and groom stand under a chuppah, we renew our commitment to G-d each year on Shavuot, and the Torah serves as our everlasting marriage contract. It was an uplifting evening filled with friendship, inspiration, and Jewish pride.

CTeen of Orange County continues to inspire and support Jewish teens during a time when antisemitism is on the rise. Chabad's CTeen lounge creates a safe space for meaningful conversations with fellow teens and mentors. The constant focus of community service at each event allows teens to feel the fulfillment of giving and being part of a greater cause. Programs include Holocaust education, Judaic art, cultural cooking, charity fundraisers, holidays events and more. Once a CTeen member graduates, we make efforts to keep in touch with alumni, arrange reunions and keep connected.

Celebrating Teen Leaders, CTeen and CTeen Jr. participants, Friendship Circle volunteers, Chabad Hebrew School volunteers, and Teen Synagogue participation. Teens in attendance will receive special gifts and certificates acknowledging their outstanding community service.

What an unforgettable celebration at the Chabad Hebrew School Moving Up & Awards Ceremony as we celebrated an incredible year of learning, creativity, friendship, and Jewish pride. From the engaging CKids Israel Quest curriculum to the Jewish Treasures program with our younger students, this year was filled with hands-on discovery and meaningful experiences that brought Judaism to life.

Decked with “Team Torah T-Shirts” sporting their Hebrew names, students experienced a celebration that was packed with fun and inspiration! Students shopped at the “Ckids Mitzvah Mall,” creating beautiful Hebrew name bracelets at “Pandora”, sipped fabulous drinks at “Starbucks Kosher Cafe”, and proudly hammered prayer plaques at “Home Depot”.

CHS families were “swirling with Jewish Pride” as we enjoyed Aleph Champ spin art Cookies, reflecting the students achievements in the unique Hebrew reading color coded learning system.

A festive lunch, special gifts, trophies and medallions celebrated our students.
The CHS yearbook was a wonderful surprise!

Graduating students shared their meaningful experiences at CHS, and students explained the unique educational art displays they created.

The Jewish Treasures students sang beautifully and displayed art pieces depicting the lessons they learned.

We are so proud of our Chabad Hebrew School family and can’t wait to continue the journey together!

The community witnessed a huge show up support as participants gathered from across the County for a powerful and moving evening, “Choosing Life: From Survival to Resilience,” featuring October 7 survivor and Kibbutz Nir Oz resident Barak Morag, who flew in from Israel to share his testimony and educate the greater community. The Jewish Federation of Greater Orange County partnered with Chabad of Orange County, led by Rabbi Pesach and Chana Burston, who hosted the event in the Chabad Center in Monroe. The event offered a heartfelt opportunity to hear firsthand about courage, faith, and rebuilding after unimaginable loss. Thank you to the tremendous show of support for the generous sponsors who made this opportunity a reality, and to the Merin family for connecting the Federation and Chabad with the opportunity to bring Barak to Orange County. A special thank you to the CTeen Orange Chapter for creating personalized bedroom signs for Barak's children along with beautiful notes, wishing them joy and peace in their new home. Barak was also presented with a Mezuzah for the family's new home as a gift from the entire community.
