It is DRY out there, folks. This map is about a week old, but you'll see that most of the state is either classified as "abnormally dry" or in "moderate drought." The drier it gets, the more our danger risk rises. Thus far in September, we've had 315 across the state that have burned 1,332 acres. That's roughly 106% more fires than our five year average for the month. Please be careful, and remember ... can prevent .
