Please join us this coming Sunday, September 13 for our 11 a.m. service. Please do consider inviting a friend to join us in our joy at being together with our church family. Every church member was once a guest & could potentially join us on EVERY Sunday morning as part of our family.

Pastor Dan will be making the video of the service available on this page for those unable to attend in person.

I noticed that a lot of you enjoyed the funny church signs I posted not too long ago. It's obvious that we all so appreciate the gift of humor that God has blessed us with. Because I enjoy the funny church signs so much, too, I'm sharing a few more this week. Laughing just FEELS GOOD, which is another gift from God. ENJOY!

CALL TO WORSHIP – September 6, 2026
For this first Sunday of September, we turn our attention back to a trusted resource for every day Christian living: The Psalms. Our Message is from Psalm 119:33-40, Moving from Self-Help to Soul-Help.

There is plenty of value in the Self-Help resources that surround us in the marketplace as well as from the healthcare industry. But for just a while, we want to “Be Still,” and hear the wisdom and direction we find in God’s Word.

Whether read as literature or offered in prayer, the Psalms stand ready to help us and to guide us in our daily lives. These ancient wisdom writings speak in ways that offer help and hope for everyone, and to anyone.

Come and hear! Come and see! Come and be a part of Sunday Worship!

This lovely photo is used with permission by the photographer, W***y Smith. He took it on his early morning walk a few days ago around 5:30 a.m. He said these pictures don't come close to how beautiful the new moon was. These pictures point out how God shares his beauty with us all times of the day & night & sometimes unexpectedly on an early morning walk. We just have to open our eyes & look around us ... everywhere. There is beauty in everything .

CALL TO WORSHIP – August 30, 2026
This Sunday we continue in the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 16:21-28, Today’s message, THE END IS NEAR: A Hard Pill to Swallow,” takes us to Jesus’ predictions of what was about to happen. And for the disciples, especially Peter, it was very much a hard thing to hear.

We twenty-first century believers have an advantage over those early people of faith in that we have hind sight from the biblical narrative. But they did not. And based on what Jesus predicted, everything they knew was about to change – and not in a way that they could see as good.

But Jesus gave them the hard part and the better part of the prediction. And even with our hindsight we still don’t have perfect vision on this passage. Even today, the implications of what Jesus predicted and set in motion still hold true – for us!

Come and hear! Come and see! Come and be a part of Sunday Worship!

Continuing on with the many blessings God gives us I saw a recent photo taken by Sandra Burch Boatwright of a lovely wild mushroom ... she captioned the photo LACY FUNGUS. I'm using that lovely photo with her permission.

Just the word 'fungus' sounds like something yuky that you would imagine as ugly & useless. Sandra's lovely photo made me curious so I looked up "fungus.' It is neither a plant nor a bacteria & is one of 3 groups ... mushroom, mold or yeast. It can be found most anywhere ... even in a desert. Not only can they be exceedingly beautiful, they boost plant growth, break down dead matter & release chemicals like carbon & nitrogen into the soil.

Thanks to Sandra's lovely photo, I LEARNED something. It also pointed out to me that "for everything there is a season & a purpose under God's heaven." We should enjoy the beauty in every aspect of that ...

CALL TO WORSHIP – August 23, 2026
This Sunday we continue in the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 16:13-20, with a prelude of next Sunday’s verses, 21-28. Today’s message, THE ROCK OF THE CHURCH: “Deciding Who Jesus Is,” takes us deeper into yet another somewhat perplexing conversation with Jesus.

Last week, we heard about the Canaanite woman who had a faith that would not be silenced. Her insistence resulted in her daughter being healed. This week, we have Jesus asking the disciples first who people say he is. And then, and this is the perplexing part, who they say he is.

Like ports of call on a cruise, our message stops in several places throughout church history. Why history? Because when we get down to the motivation of what the church formers thought, said and wrote, it was to answer Jesus’ question “Who Do You Say That I Am?”

It is a question each of us answer initially in our faith journey and like those early church thinkers, again and again, as we live from day to day.

Come and hear! Come and see! Come and be a part of Sunday Worship!
