We’ve run into a snag with the LIVE video of the church services. The service will be recorded live but posted at a later time, most likely after 12:00 pm, noon.

Please do join us this way until we are able to go LIVE again.

Thank you for watching.

CALL TO WORSHIP – May 31, 2026
This Sunday we turn our attention to the Triune Nature of God, God the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit: The Trinity. Though the word itself, ‘Trinity,’ is not found in the actual wording of the scriptures, the nature of God (3-IN-1) is, and is often referred to by the writers.

Many analogies have been used to describe this three- person-one-God doctrine, all given that we might better understand it. God is our Creator, who sent God’s Son Jesus as our Redeemer, who sent his Holy Spirit to abide and guide us in this life and direct us to our next.

On this Sunday, we bridge our liturgical year from the Easter Season to Ordinary Time, also called Kingdomtide, as we are reminded by Matthew 28:16-20 TLB that we have been sent into the world to

Preach the Gospel of Christ Jesus,
Baptize new believers and seekers, and
Teach The Way, the Christian ways of living.

This is “The Call of Our 3-IN-1 God!”

For almost a full week we have been getting much needed rain. Even though it has been a blessing, the days have been kind of dreary & we find out just how much we appreciate the sun.

I found this picture & thought it was appropriate ... calling attention to both the gifts from God of rain & the beauty of the flowers. I also really appreciate he message.

CALL TO WORSHIP – May 24, 2026 - Pentecost!
In the Jewish tradition, it was a celebration when Moses received the Torah (the Law). It was part of the festival called the “Feast of Weeks” (Shavuot). It was a day of thanksgiving celebrated fifty days after Passover.

For Christians, Pentecost is celebrated fifty days after Easter. It finds its scriptural roots in Acts 2, when the Holy Spirit “came upon” the disciples waiting in Jerusalem as they were instructed to do by Jesus when he ascended into heaven on the fortieth day after Easter.

One of the identifying things that happened that day was that when people from all over the known world gathered in Jerusalem for the festival, as the disciples proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ each person could understand because the disciples were speaking in “tongues.” Everyone could hear in their own language what the disciples were saying even though the disciples were speaking in their own language.

Wow! What would it be like for everyone to hear the Gospel in their own language today!

Our message this Pentecost Sunday asks us to consider not what people are hearing but, what we as Christians are saying. We are alerted to the fact that for our message of the grace of God to be understood we may need to change not what we speak, but how.

Acts 2: 1-21, focusing on verses 1-12, invites us to catch a new vision of what it means to celebrate Pentecost and to “Speak with A New Tongue.”

CALL TO WORSHIP – May 17, 2026
WE TRANSITION FROM the 40 days after the resurrection, to the last day the risen Jesus was on this earth. This is Ascension Sunday, upon which the theological statement is based that we make whenever we recite The Apostles’ Creed: “He ascended to the right hand of God, the Father Almighty….”.
The sermon title gets its words from this above paragraph: “Jesus’ Last Day on Earth,” speaking out to us from Luke 24:44-53. We are still using The Living Bible so it provides continuity between the Days After Easter and the days that followed.
But the title, “Jesus’ Last Day…,” might also steer us toward thinking that this was it! The End! Jesus came. He was crucified. He was Buried. He Arose. 40 days later he Ascended to Heaven. So, is Jesus just gone? Here one moment, and gone the next?
The Scripture gives us a way back to an understanding of this miraculous event with a different perspective: “Not Where, but Who.” We hope to come away with a fresh understanding and new appreciation for this Once-a-Year Sunday: “The Ascension of Jesus.”

These two very lovely, but very different photos are used with permission from the photographer, Sandra Burch Boatwright. They highlight the changing moods / personality of our world ... & the beauty of those changes. With the diversity of nature that surrounds us God shows us contrast & change. If we choose to just look around us we will NEVER be bored & don't even need a television ...
