Spirit And Truth Worship Center

Spirit And Truth Worship Center Senior Pastor Curt Buckmire co-labors in ministry with his wife, Pastor Nedra Buckmire. (John 1:1-5) Jesus Christ is both God and man.

Our desire is to establish a thriving community of Christian believers comprised from all nations by:
* Encouraging you with love,
* Equipping you with the Word of God, and
* Empowering you to fulfill your purpose! Pastors Curt and Nedra have been married since 1990 and have two beautiful sons, Christian and Andrew Buckmire. Together, they preach and teach the principles of the life-changing mess

age of the Kingdom of God. Their heart's desire is that every believer knows what they believe, knows why they believe what they believe, and can articulate what they believe. Church Doctrine:

The Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. (II Tim. 3:16, I Thess. 2:13)

The Trinity
There is one God, eternally in three persons:
The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (John 1:14) The Holy Spirit is a divine person. (John 14:26)

Man and His Fall
Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world. (Gen. 1:27, Rom. 3:23)

Redemption
Salvation is a gift of God to man, separate from works and the law is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. (John 3:16, Eph. 2:8)

Salvation
Even in our sin God loved us and sent Jesus to die for us. If we confess Christ openly and believe that Christ died on the cross for our sins and was raised from the dead, we can be saved. (Rom. 10:9-10)

Water Baptism & Communion
We believe in the two ordinances set forth by Jesus Christ:
Baptism by immersion in water and the celebrating of the Lord's Supper. (Acts 2:38-41; I Cor. 11:23-26)

Baptism in the Holy Spirit
It is God's will that every believer be filled with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:8; 2:4)

Tithe and Offerings
The tithe and offering belong unto God (Malachi 3:10).

You weren't placed on this earth to figure everything out on your own. Your desire for relationships, friends, and community isn't a sign of weakness; it's a sign you were made by a relational, loving God. πŸ’™

The culture will tell you that being dependent or reliant on others is weak; God will tell you it's how you were made to be. πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

Today's Scripture:
[6] For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. [7] For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. [8] But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6-8

Inspiration:
Many of us would be hypothetically willing to die for our friends or family. Would you be willing to sacrifice yourself for someone that you knew was evil? Someone that was working against you? Christ did exactly that. He sacrificed himself so that our sins could be purged. It was a decision based on love, an undying love for us that we do not deserve, but we have it. Cherish it.

Prayer;
Heavenly Father, I can never repay the debt that I have to You. I pray that I can be used as a vessel to carry Your teachings to others. Give me the strength and willingness to sacrifice my own life if it is in accordance with Your divine plan, and the foresight to understand where the plan shall take me. I pray this in the name of Your son, who died for our sins. Amen.

We grow in the in-betweens! In a culture that loves instant gratification, we need to remember to slow down and let the Lord lead as He wants to!

The delay could be there for a reason. The rejection letter could be protection. The new opportunity you didn't plan for could be the Lord. We need to remember to let God be God, trust in His plans and timing, and submit to His will for our lives! He is our perfect Father who LOVES US and will NOT lead us astray! πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."

Today's Scripture:
[9] He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates friends.
Proverbs 17:9

Inspiration:
Asking for forgiveness can be one of the hardest things to do. If we are unable to ask for forgiveness, what was the point in Jesus sacrificing Himself for our sins? Pride is a dangerous sin, leading to repeated mistakes and causing harm over and over again. "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up." If you trespass against someone, apologize and ask for forgiveness. It is up to them whether to accept it or not, but taking the step of asking and realizing the wrong committed helps you not commit it again.

Prayer:
Merciful God, I ask you to forgive me Father for all of my sins! I rejoice in knowing You, knowing that You sent your son to absolve me of my sins. Alas, I am weak and prideful, often neglecting to even ask for forgiveness for my sins. I beg You now to hear my cries to of repentance because I wish to be more humble with each passing day. I pray all of this in the name of the most humble of all, Jesus Christ, who died so that I could live. Amen.
