Due to the latest update from the Walton County Sheriffs Office, We will not have service tomorrow. Please stay safe and off the roads.
What we are going with as of now is according to national weather service:
30 mph sustained winds starting around midnight with gust to 40. Not good for trees in saturated ground.
1/10 of an inch of ice
and 1-2 inches of snow starting between 7am and 10am Sunday.
Walton County EMA will begin operating the Emergency Operations Center at midnight tonight and crews from almost every department are on standby. (We will have 20 working at 0700).
Stay off the roads and avoid downed power lines.
Expect it to take some time to clear blocked roadways particularly if power lines are involved.
