Good morning family! Be blessed, safe, and encouraged!
The Power of Love
“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” — John 13:35 (KJV)
Jesus taught His disciples that the greatest evidence of their relationship with Him would not be their gifts, titles, knowledge, or accomplishments it would be their love for one another. Love is the distinguishing mark of a true follower of Christ. In a world filled with division, hatred, and selfishness, God's love shines as a powerful testimony of His presence in our lives.
The power of love is not found merely in words but in action. Love forgives when it is easier to hold a grudge. Love serves when it is more convenient to be selfish. Love extends grace when others make mistakes. When believers genuinely love one another, they reflect the heart of Christ to the world.
The Apostle Paul reminds us:
“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
Love has the power to heal broken relationships, unite families, strengthen churches, and draw unbelievers to Christ. People may question our theology, but they cannot deny the reality of Christ-like love demonstrated through our lives.
Today, ask God to help you love beyond your comfort zone. Love the difficult person. Encourage the discouraged. Forgive the offender. Pray for those who have hurt you. Every act of genuine love points others to Jesus. Remember, the world is watching, and one of the greatest sermons you will ever preach is the love you show.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us even when we were undeserving. Fill our hearts with Your love and help us to love others as Christ has loved us. Remove bitterness, selfishness, and unforgiveness from our hearts. Let our love be a testimony that we belong to You. May our words, actions, and attitudes reflect Your grace and kindness each day. Use us to bring healing, unity, and hope to those around us. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Final Thought
The badge of a believer is not found on our clothing, our church membership, or our titles it is found in the love we demonstrate. When we love like Jesus, the world sees Jesus in us. ❤️
