This Sunday, we will celebrate the life and legacy of Sherri Graves, who for years was a driving force, cheerleader, and faithful advocate for BGMC at New Destiny.

We invite everyone to WEAR YELLOW in Sherri’s honor and come prepared to give to BGMC as we continue a mission that meant so much to her.

Every BGMC gift Sunday will be given in honor of Sherri and the legacy she leaves at New Destiny.

31 Days of Prayer BACK TO SCHOOL

Day 31 Pray for faculty and staff to have wisdom and knowledge to teach, guide, and protect their students. Pray that those who follow Jesus will be on guard, standing firm in faith and remembering that all things work for good because they trust in God. Pray that they will act with maturity, courage, and strength in every circumstance as they teach, molding young minds.

Be on guard; stand firm in your faith [in God, respecting His precepts and keeping your doctrine sound]. Act like [mature] men and be courageous; be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13 AMP

31 Days of Prayer BACK TO SCHOOL

Day 30 Pray that the Lord will help teachers see beyond the visible so that they can teach with forethought who their students really are and who they will become. Pray that faculty, staff, and administration will realize that actions, behaviors, determination to learn, or lack of determination to learn all come from what cannot be seen. Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide them to reach and teach each student to become more than they are now.

31 Days of Prayer BACK TO SCHOOL

Day 29 God desires to be the only stronghold and fortress for those who believe. Pray that each person will be protected, delivered, and calmed daily and that when students are not having their best days, He will help those who follow Him to lead them to salvation. Pray, especially, for those whose homes are not filled with your grace and peace that their classrooms be places of joy, peace, and protection.

But as for me, I will sing of Your mighty strength and power; Yes, I will sing joyfully of Your lovingkindness in the morning; For You have been my stronghold and a refuge in the day of my distress. PSALMS 59:16 AMP

Day 28 Pray that everyone everywhere will come to the knowledge of the truth, that Jesus is their Savior. Ask that the Holy Spirit will lead those who have personal relationships with Jesus to be good representatives of Him so that everyone they come into contact with may come to know Jesus "who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” 1 Tim 2:4
