To our Hill Haven Family,

I wanted to take a moment to share a little from our hearts.

Since June 28, much of our family has been in Blairsville with my mom as we stood by my daddy’s side while he was in the ICU. As many of you now know, my precious father, Dr. Tim Cornett, went home to be with the Lord on July 2.

These past days have been some of the most difficult our family has ever faced.

Because of this unexpected season of loss, we know there have been areas around Hill Haven Memory Gardens that have not received the attention they normally would. Please know this has never been because we don’t care. Hill Haven has always been, and will continue to be, a ministry of love to the families we serve. Our hearts have simply been divided as we walked through saying goodbye to the man who founded and loved this cemetery so deeply.

Beginning today, following the Fourth of July holiday, we are working diligently to get everything back to the high standard you have come to expect. We ask for a little grace and patience as we move forward.

My son, Stephen, who faithfully oversees the maintenance of Hill Haven and does an outstanding job caring for these beautiful grounds, is also grieving the loss of his grandfather. Like all of us, he is carrying a heavy heart while doing his best to serve our families.

Soon, we will lay my daddy to rest here at Hill Haven Memory Gardens—a place he loved with all his heart and devoted so much of his life to serving. We understand every family who entrusts us with the care of their loved ones because that is exactly where we now find ourselves.

For years, our family has had the privilege of walking beside thousands of grieving families, offering compassion, dignity, and care during some of life’s hardest moments. Today, we humbly ask for those same prayers, kindness, and understanding as our family grieves.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your prayers, your messages, your patience, and your continued support. They mean more than words can express.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The Cornett Family & the Hill Haven Memory Gardens Staff

Dear Hill Haven Family,

I never imagined I would have to write these words.

It is with a heavy heart, yet with the peace that comes from knowing God’s promises, that I share the passing of my father, Dr. Timothy L. “Tim” Cornett, owner of Hill Haven Memory Gardens.

For so many years, my dad dedicated his life to serving families with compassion, integrity, and love. To him, Hill Haven was never just a cemetery—it was a sacred place where families found comfort, hope, and a lasting place to honor those they loved. He believed every life mattered, every family deserved dignity, and every service was a ministry.

Many of you knew him long before I joined Hill Haven over ten years ago. You trusted him with your loved ones, shared your stories with him, and became part of our extended family. For that, our family is deeply grateful.

While our hearts are broken, we rejoice knowing Dad is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His faith has become sight, and he is experiencing the joy of Heaven.

We would be honored if our Hill Haven family would join us in celebrating his remarkable life.

Celebration of Life
🗓 Saturday, July 18
🕒 3:00 PM
📍 Lighthouse World Outreach Center, Monroe, GA

Following the service, we will gather at Hill Haven Memory Gardens for a committal service, where Dad will be laid to rest in the mausoleum—a place he loved and cared for with all his heart.

Thank you for every prayer, every phone call, every visit, and every expression of love shown to our family. Please continue to keep our family and the entire Hill Haven staff in your prayers as we walk through this season.

Dad’s legacy will live on in every family he served, every life he touched, and in the beautiful grounds of Hill Haven that he loved so dearly.

“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23

With heartfelt gratitude,

As our nation celebrates 250 years of America’s history, we pause with gratitude for the generations who came before us. Their courage, sacrifice, faith, and love for family helped shape the freedoms we enjoy today. Every life has a story, and every story leaves a legacy.

At Hill Haven Memory Gardens, we are honored to preserve those legacies each day. We understand that behind every name is a family, a lifetime of memories, and a love that never fades. It is our privilege to walk alongside families as they honor those who have gone before them, treating every loved one with the dignity, compassion, and respect they deserve.

As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, may we remember not only our nation’s rich heritage but also the remarkable individuals whose lives helped build our communities and our country.

Please note: Our office and staff will be closed on Friday as we join our nation in observing this historic 250-year celebration. We will reopen during our normal business hours following the holiday.

From our Hill Haven family to yours, we wish you a safe, meaningful, and blessed celebration. May God continue to bless America, and may we never forget the lives, sacrifices, and legacies that have brought us to this moment.
