Lakeview Student Ministry We exist to share the Gospel, abide in Christ and to serve and love our community. Seek and save the lost.

At Lakeview Baptist Church, our primary mission is to KNOW Christ and make Him KNOWN! The Student Ministry of Lakeview will seek to accomplish this mission through shared vision as we seek to realize our full potential in ministering to children, teenagers and their families by being "intentional" in all we do. In keeping with the purposes of the New Testament Church model outlined in the Great Commission and the Great Commandment we offer the following design.

🦁 DAY 4 AT CAMP: FAITHFUL IN THE DEN 🦁

Today is a very important day at camp, a day when many students may be wrestling with decisions about their faith, their future, and their commitment to follow Jesus.

Daniel lived in a culture that pressured him to compromise, but he remained faithful to God no matter the cost. His courage reminds us that God is worthy of our trust, even when standing for Him is difficult.

“But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, forever and ever.” — Daniel 7:18

The kingdoms of this world will come and go, but God’s Kingdom lasts forever. Daniel’s faithfulness points us to Jesus, who was faithful even unto death and was victorious through the resurrection. Because of Him, we can stand firm no matter what pressures we face.

🙏 Today, please join us in praying:
• For students who are making important spiritual decisions
• For courage to follow Jesus wholeheartedly
• For those sensing God’s call on their lives
• For hearts to be surrendered to God’s will
• For leaders to have wisdom in every conversation
• For lives to be forever changed by the gospel

May today be a day of bold faith, surrendered hearts, and eternal impact.

👣 DAY 3 AT CAMP: WALKING IN HUMILITY 👣

Pride can convince us that we don’t need God, but humility reminds us that every good thing comes from Him. Daniel 5 shows us that pride leads to a fall, while humility opens the door to God’s grace and guidance.

“But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was brought down from his kingly throne, and his glory was taken from him.” — Daniel 5:20

🙏 Today, please pray:
• For hearts to be open to God’s truth
• For students to respond to God’s calling
• For life-changing decisions to be made
• For humility to replace pride
• For wisdom and strength for our leaders

May God continue to work in powerful ways as our students learn what it means to walk humbly with Him.

👑 DAY 2 AT CAMP: THE KINGDOM THAT LASTS 👑

Yesterday, our students began an incredible week at camp.

Last night, we opened God’s Word to Daniel 1 and were challenged by a powerful message from Daniel Rose.

As followers of Christ, we are called to live differently from the world around us. Like Daniel, we can choose obedience even when it’s difficult.

We were reminded that:

• There is joy, even in suffering.
• Confidence comes from faithfully obeying God.
• We can trust God’s promises, even when we don’t understand our circumstances or our sorrow.
• Even in our darkest moments, we can trust God with what we cannot see.
• When we surrender our fears, doubts, and pain to Him, He ignites us to SHINE for His glory.

Daniel remained faithful in a culture that pressured him to compromise. Though he faced uncertainty and hardship, he trusted that God was at work in the darkness.

Pray that we would choose faithfulness over fitting in, obedience over compromise, and trust in God’s promises even when we don’t understand our circumstances.

Ask God to meet each student personally this week, to bring joy in the midst of struggles, peace in seasons of uncertainty, and deeper confidence in Him.

Pray that God would use this time away to ignite our faith so that we would return ready to SHINE in our schools, homes, friendships, and communities.

DAY 1 AT CAMP: 🌎 STANDING STRONG IN A SHIFTING WORLD 🌎

Today our Lakeview Youth leave for camp! As they begin this exciting week, we are praying that God will move powerfully in their lives.

“But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself…” — Daniel 1:8

Daniel lived in a culture that pressured him to compromise, yet he chose to remain faithful to God. In the same way, our students will be challenged to stand strong for Christ in a world that is constantly changing. The good news is that God gives strength to those who trust Him.

Church family, please join us in praying today:
• For safe travels to camp
• For protection throughout the week
• For open hearts ready to hear God’s Word
• For life-changing encounters with Jesus
• For courage to stand strong in their faith when they return home

Our youth leave for Caswell tomorrow morning and we would love for our church family to help send them off with prayer!

Join us at 9:45 AM on Monday as we gather to pray over our students, chaperones, and leaders before they board the bus. There is something powerful about knowing you are being covered in prayer as you begin a week of worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth.

If you are unable to join us in person, please take a few moments Monday morning to pray:

• For safe travels to and from Caswell
• For our chaperones and leaders as they guide and encourage our students
• For our youth as they worship, learn, grow, and build lasting friendships
• For the Caswell staff and worship team as they pour into the lives of students from across the state
• That our youth will SHINE for Jesus throughout the week
• That they will return home with hearts on fire for the Lord and a renewed passion to follow Him

Standing for Jesus isn’t always easy.

Sometimes following God means choosing what’s right when everyone else is doing what’s wrong. It means honoring Christ even when it’s unpopular, uncomfortable, or costly.

Peter and the apostles refused to stop talking about Jesus, even when they were threatened. Their courage came from knowing that God’s approval mattered more than anyone else’s opinion.

Daniel lived the same way. He prayed when it was forbidden. He stayed faithful when it was difficult. He obeyed God no matter the consequences.

Challenge: This week, choose obedience over popularity. Stand for what is right. Speak truth with love. Live differently. Be courageous.

The world doesn’t need more people who blend in. It needs more students who are willing to stand out for Jesus.
