One of our longest continually-observed (and most beloved!) ministries is the UMW (United Methodist Women) Fall Bazaar. And one of the most celebrated items is the canned beef and chicken. We leapt into Bazaar prep season today as our team of Dian(n)as got the pressure canners going strong! This is becoming a lost art, so if we want to maintain this ministry, we need you! You could be a standout amongst your family, friends, and colleagues (as these canned meats lend themselves well to standout dishes!) If you are interested in this fabulous ministry for the very coolest people, drop us a line or come check us out!

Thank you to Diana and Dianna!

The next PCM Community Blood Drive is coming up on Saturday, May 9th!
There are still spots open, and there is always a need!

A quick needlestick (and it really doesn't hurt much, these folks are professionals!) and about half an hour of your time can potentially give others years to live.

Set an appointment, mark your calendar, and come out and join us on May 9th in the Bloodmobile!

Holy Week begins today with Palm Sunday! All are invited in for our service of the palms! We will have many other celebrations and services this week. We hope that you will consider joining in with us during this powerful, poignant week in our year!

Hello! We are rapidly barreling toward the end of March, and that means that Holy Week will be here before we know it! So, we just wanted to share a little "heads up" about our plans for Holy Week, just in case anybody needed the time to mark the calendars or gameplan!

A huge thank you to the Monroe Presbyterian Church for partnering with us again this year!

If you are looking for a service of the palms on Palm Sunday, Holy Communion and a foot washing service on Maundy Thursday, the retelling of the crucifixion story on Good Friday, or an Easter "sunrise" service with a breakfast, we have you covered! Anybody is welcome to join in and to learn and worship alongside us! Please come in and join us during our special Holy Week events, or for our activities through the rest of the year!

Continuing with our theme of our ministries done by skilled, loving, and dedicated individuals, here we have our MOM'S group. This group gets together every other Wednesday to cut and tie fringes in pieces of fleece to make blankets for babies which are then donated to the Ronald McDonald House. It is a small group currently, but they are looking to grow! We need you! 9 AM on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, we'd love to have you in to check out what we're doing, to jump in and help, or just to chat and share fellowship!

One of our newest and most exciting ministries is making mats out of shopping bags. We have a fun team who meet every Thursday afternoon to prepare the bags and to work the loom. We would welcome anyone who would like to come in and engage with our group. We can always use more hands -- we need you!

I will be up at The Gathering Place, tomorrow, Wednesday, February 18th, from 1-2 PM to offer ashes for anyone who would like to receive them. For any who are unfamiliar with the tradition, the ashes come from the palm leaves from Palm Sunday, and are burnt and administered as a sign of repentance. There are no requirements of membership, the ashes are available to anyone who would like to receive them, and serve as a sign that we carry guilt and regret, but that we trust in the power of salvation. This event is to offer for those who will not be in town in the evening, or who don't want to drive at night, but still want to recognize Ash Wednesday. There will also be a formal Ash Wednesday service at 6:30 PM at the church, featuring the talents of the community choir. Please consider yourself welcome to stop and see me at The Gathering Place, or to come and worship with us as we recognize the start of the season of Lent. Blessings to you!

Good evening, friends! I know we got another snowfall today, and so I wanted to send out a message with a few informative notes. First off, it IS my plan to still have worship in the morning. Like always, I am not going to take attendance, so for anyone who can't make it, you will be missed but no repercussions! As always, your safety is paramount, and I rely on you to use your best judgment.

Secondly, we had planned on a meal in lieu of our monthly M&M's gathering. Because there are some unknowns, and questions of how many will be available to come in, we have decided to postpone the chicken parmesan meal. We will distribute more information as it becomes available.

Take care, all! Prayers for your safety and comfort! Blessings to you all!

Good evening, friends! With respect to services tomorrow on Sunday, December 7th, this is where I have landed:
I hate the idea of canceling services, and doubly so during Advent. However, the weather does not seem content to work with me this year. However, this Sunday I am not laid up with strep throat, so I can be a little bit bolder than I was last week. To wit, I will be in at the church tomorrow morning. I will put out a facebook live video for our group. Anyone who feels comfortable doing so is more than welcome to join me (we also have sugar cookies, milk, and apple cider left over from our cookie baking event!) However, and I stress this, if you feel any concern about drifts, slick roads, or slippery sidewalks, PLEASE DO NOT CHANCE IT!! We will have a video up, and your health and safety are far more worthy than anything that I could ever say. I am trusting all of you to use your best judgment, and I will see you when I see you! Blessings to you, and please be safe!!
