EngineHouse 87

EngineHouse 87 Continuing to carry the torch after our father passed away as a crisis ministry and gathering house.

Drawing closer to God each day and do as he calls big or small. Engine House was originally started by my late father Ward(Pete)Adams in Arizona. It was designed to utilize all the crises training my father gained through the years of being both a member and chief of various fire departments. He wanted to give children the knowledge so they weren’t so fearful of firefighters as well as train other

s on how to work through and help others in a crises situation, emotional first aid if you will. Engine House 87 has been resurrected and lifted up from the ashes as a crises ministry doing and going as God leads. Part of our goal is to Help communities and other ministries near and far while providing a network of tools and resources hopefully with a smidge of hospitality.

The Weaver Poem

by Grant Colfax Tullar (1869-1950)

My life is but a weaving
Between my God and me.
I cannot choose the colours
He weaveth steadily.

Oft’ times He weaveth sorrow;
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper,
And I the underside.

Not ’til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly,
Will God unroll the canvas
And reveal the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful
In the weaver’s skillful hand,
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

He knows, He loves, He cares;
Nothing this truth can dim.
He gives the very best to those
Who leave the choice to Him.

Not sure if you can see this from the road but wanted the outside to be able to enjoy a little of what we did on the inside from the wedding yesterday. Some are actual plants going towards beautification, if they live, the others are cut flowers.

This is to whom it may Concern;
Understand what you need to take ownership for remembering the past and present shapes who we are in Christ allowing us to Grow from them

Tormented by, being stuck, or falling back into sinful patterns because of regrets is not what God wants and is not the reason His son was flogged and Crucified.

Change is tough, Continually working on who we are is tough, Developing New and Good Habits is tough but Christ has proven tougher and we can’t do it without him and our Father God’s Grace and guidance.

"Obscenity and Humiliation (per https://www.crosswalk.com/faith/bible-study/10-things-every-christian-should-know-about-the-cross.html. ). Go there to read more facts about Crucifixion

Worse than the pain of the cross was the shame of the cross. See 1 Cor. 1:18-25. Why does Paul refer to the cross as foolishness and a stumbling-block? It isn't because the concept or practice of crucifixion was intellectually incoherent (like 2 + 2 = 5) or illogical. Rather, the message of salvation through faith in a crucified Savior was deemed “foolishness” and a “stumbling-block” because the cross was itself the embodiment and emblem of the most hideous of human obscenities. The cross was a symbol of reproach, degradation, humiliation, and disgust. It was aesthetically repugnant. In a word, the cross was obscene.

The cross was far more than an instrument of capital punishment. It was a public symbol of indecency and social indignity. Crucifixion was designed to do more than merely kill a man. Its purpose was to humiliate him as well. The cross was intended not only to break a man's body, but also to crush and defame his spirit. T

here were certainly more efficient means of ex*****on: stoning (cf. Stephen in Acts 7), decapitation (cf. James in Acts 12), etc. Crucifixion was used to humiliate as well as to harm."

What is God,🌟 someone once asked me ? (No right or wrong answer they said as I felt like I was being tested). Everyone has a different answer however this person's response sticks with me. I will give you a minute....

After a moment or possibly my reply they made the following statement; To me, What is God? God is I am! I am present, I am comfort, I am a listening ear, I am a friend, a Father . I am what I AM, whatever you need at any given time AT ANY Given TIME. I am what I am covers everything. Just something to chew on.

I hope I did this person justice by recalling correctly, they know who they are ❤️

Thinking of 1Chronicles:29 today. There is too much to copy and paste it all but the leader and example that David was and how he gained the trust and the tremendous support of all around in prepping for the temple for his son Solomon to build . This then leading to how humble Solomon was when God asked what do you want.

What Are the Beatitudes?

The Beatitudes were a series of blessings declared by Jesus during His "Sermon on the Mount" found in the Gospels of Matthew. In contrast to the 10 Commandments given to Moses, Jesus gives the encouraging promises of the Beatitudes, listing the values in life which will lead to prosperity and salvation. The Beatitudes are often seen as a key component of Christian teachings, and they offer guidance on how to live a blessed life.(According to Christianity.com)

Spurgeon a highly influential baptist preacher has a book The Beatitudes. Haven't read but may have interest in doing so. If anyone has do tell.
