Folks, Pastor Donnie Gamble (Macedonia Baptist) wife fell last week and had a bad break of her ankle. She is undergoing surgery today to repair and set the break. Please keep them in your prayers in the days ahead. This is their daughter's post with details:

I wanted to ask our family and friends to please be in prayer for my mom and dad. Mom broke her ankle badly this week and is scheduled for surgery today to repair it. We know the days ahead will be challenging as she begins recovery, but we are trusting the Lord to carry them through each step.

I’m so thankful that God is faithful to His children. None of this caught Him by surprise, and I know He will see us through to the other side of this season.

My parents have spent their lives loving, serving, sacrificing, and taking care of our family. It is truly an honor to now help care for them in this stage of life where they need extra support. I love them both more than words can say, and I’m grateful for every sacrifice they’ve made for their children and grandchildren over the years.

Please pray for a successful surgery, smooth healing, strength for my daddy as he helps care for her, and peace for all of us in the days ahead. We appreciate every prayer so much. ❤️

Just posted on Mt Springs Baptist:
Update on Donald Rorie:
After a three-week stay at Duke Hospital due to extreme fatigue, Donald and Sylvia Rorie returned home on Sunday. The biopsies and scans performed during his hospitalization were inconclusive. They are still waiting for the culture results from the most recent biopsy. Although the cause of his condition remains uncertain, the doctors believe his body may be fighting the Epstein Barr Virus (mono), which could be contributing to his fatigue. Regardless, Donald realizes this is all in God’s plan for his life.
Please continue to pray for Donald and Sylvia as they continue on this journey God has placed them on.

Folks, this is from Bri Ashley, sister to Jay, the young man that was in a motorcycle accident on Hayne St at Food Lion Saturday 4/25/26. He was airlifted to CMC Main, and underwent surgery. Please continue to lift Jay in prayer, as well as his family, the medical team and caregivers.

From Bri 4/28/26 am:
Good morning . Thank yall for the continuous prayers. We appreciate all of you 💙🙏

My brother is still ventilated & as today is showing signs of it being his peak day, the machine is doing most of the breathing for him until trauma approves a nerve block. They are working on that. He had a major surgery yesterday. His spleen was not able to be saved , they had to take that out as the bleeding was too severe. In the process of that, they took out 1/4-1/2 inch of his pancreas that was damaged. He had liver bleeding which they were able to burn to stop the bleeding . He has 10-12 broken ribs, 1 on his right and the rest being on his left. Severe bruising down to the muscle/tissue all through his left side as that is where he took all of the impact. His lungs are severely bruised . Small brain bleed that has been under control and is healing well. No signs of brain swelling. We do know he was not the driver at fault but we are also not being negative towards the faulty driver as I’m sure his emotions are all over and praying for them as well….

We ask you to keep Jay in your prayers and this is a very very long road to recovery for him & his care team 💙🙏 & please just keep our mother in your prayers.
