💚💛 TODAY WE HONOR FAITHFULNESS 💛💚
As Peter Rock Baptist Church celebrates 90 years of God’s faithfulness, we pause with grateful hearts to honor two remarkable women, Mother Margaret Duncan and Sherrill Duncan Simmons, for more than 40 years of faithful membership, loving service, and steadfast dedication to our church family.
For over four decades, they have remained connected to the ministry and mission of Peter Rock Baptist Church. Through seasons of celebration, seasons of change, and seasons that required prayer and perseverance, they continued to stand faithfully. Their commitment reminds us that a strong church is built by people who are willing to remain planted, serve consistently, pray fervently, and trust God through every generation.
Mother Margaret Duncan, we thank God for the wisdom, strength, love, and godly example you have shared throughout the years. Your life and faith have touched your family, your church, and everyone blessed to know you. You have helped preserve the spiritual foundation upon which Peter Rock continues to stand.
Sherrill Duncan Simmons, we also honor and thank God for your years of faithfulness, support, and dedication. Your continued presence is a beautiful testimony of commitment and love for God’s house. You represent a generation that has received a strong spiritual legacy and continues carrying it forward.
More than 40 years of membership represents countless worship services, prayers, songs, sermons, celebrations, trials, victories, and treasured memories. It represents years of standing with the church, supporting its ministry, encouraging its members, and helping Peter Rock Baptist Church remain a beacon of hope in our community.
As we celebrate our historic 90th Church Anniversary, we recognize that this milestone was made possible through the grace of God and the faithfulness of devoted members such as Mother Margaret Duncan and Sherrill Duncan Simmons. Their names and service are forever woven into the history and legacy of Peter Rock Baptist Church.
Today, we give them their flowers and say, “Thank you.” Thank you for remaining faithful. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for your service. Thank you for your sacrifices. Thank you for loving your church and helping prepare the way for future generations.
May God continue to bless Mother Margaret Duncan and Sherrill Duncan Simmons with strength, peace, joy, and many more years of life and service. We love you, we appreciate you, and we proudly honor your more than 40 years of faithful membership.
