First Lady Sunday was a powerful reminder that discernment matters. First Lady Dr. La Freda Riley blessed us in both services with the message, “And Discern the Times; Take Off the Weights,” from Hebrews 12:1–2.

We were challenged to look beyond what’s happening around us and prayerfully examine what’s happening within us and because of us. What environments are influencing us? What environments are we creating? Are they helping or hurting the Kingdom? Because while we can discern what’s happening in the world, we can still miss the move of God.

Discernment leads to direction. And sometimes moving forward requires us to recognize what God is doing, evaluate what we’re carrying, and be willing to lay aside the weights that are keeping us from where He is leading.

As we enter a new week, may our prayer be simple:

“God, what do I need to START?
And what do I need to STOP?”

Thank you, First Lady Dr. La’Freda Riley, for pouring into us during both services and reminding us to discern the times, take off the weights, and keep our eyes on Jesus.

Last night, we were blessed by a powerful word from our Pastor, Dr. Odell Riley, as he served as guest speaker at Greater Realness Cathedral.

“Skilled for What’s Next”
📖 Exodus 31:1–5

One truth came through loud and clear: God is not intimidated by the future.

Before there was internet, AI, computers, or smartphones, God was God — and He already knew what this season would require.

Some of us may feel like we’re somewhere between Egypt and the promise, but just as Moses already had what he needed in the camp, God is getting us ready for what’s next.

What happened in your past may become fuel for your future. God has a way of taking what you learned in one season and sanctifying it for the next. The experience. The disappointment. The struggle. God says, “I can use it.”

So use the opportunities in this season to prepare for the next one. Hold on to prayer, fasting, testimony, worship, and praise.

And while skills matter, what we need even more is the power of the Holy Ghost.

Don’t settle for information when God has promised you power.
Don’t settle for entertainment when God has promised you power.

We need technology, but we still need the fire.
Technology can amplify your voice, but it cannot anoint your voice.

We still believe in seeking God, waiting for His presence, and receiving the Holy Ghost.

🔥 God is preparing us for what’s next.

Sunday at Power House COGIC reminded us what it means to stay faithful in every season.

Our first message, **“In The Meantime…”**, delivered by **Asp. Miss’y Felecia Oliver**, challenged us to examine how we live while we are waiting on God. The meantime is not wasted time. It is a season to keep building, keep praying, keep trusting, keep worshiping, and keep living according to God’s Word. Even when the outcome is uncertain, God remains the same.

Then **Evangelist Kit Ashworth** challenged us with **“Who Are You… The Remnant or the Majority?”** We were reminded that God is looking for people who will remain faithful, uncompromised, and committed to Him even when the crowd chooses differently.

Two messages. One clear call: **Stay faithful. Trust God. Don’t compromise. Keep going.**

In the meantime, we will remain the remnant.
