St. Philip Neri was known as the 'Apostle of Joy.' He had a great sense of humor and believed that a cheerful heart was the best way to lead people to God. In a world that can feel pretty heavy sometimes, he reminds us to find the joy in our faith. He is also known for his profound devotion to the Eucharist, and is often credited for fostering the practice of Eucharistic Adoration as we know it today. St. Philip Neri, pray for us!

Pentecost celebrates the gift of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church. Filled with the Spirit, the Apostles were transformed from fearful followers into bold witnesses of the Gospel.

The same Holy Spirit continues to guide and strengthen us today, helping us live with faith, peace, joy, and love. As we give thanks for the gifts of Confirmation and the Spirit’s presence in our lives, may we open our hearts more fully to His guidance and trust in His power to lead us each day.

Saint Rita of Cascia is known as the patroness of impossible causes. She dealt with so much heartbreak in her life, but she never lost her trust in God. If you're facing something that feels impossible right now, ask for her intercession. She reminds us that nothing is beyond God's reach. St. Rita of Cascia, pray for us!

Today we celebrate Jesus returning to His Father in Heaven. He didn't leave us alone; He gave us a mission and promised to be with us always, until the end of the age. Let's live today with the joy of knowing He's still working in our lives!

Prayer Meditation for the Ascension from “My Catholic Life”:

O Lord Jesus, I adore you, Son of Mary, my Savior and my Brother, for You are God. I follow You in my thoughts, O first-fruits of our race, as I hope one day by Your grace to follow You in my person into heavenly glory. Until then, do not let me neglect the earthly task which You have given me. Let me labor diligently all my life with a greater appreciation for the present. Let me realize that only by accomplishing true human fulfillment can I attain Divine fulfillment and ascend to You at the completion of my work.

Amen.
