This Sunday, we were taught that Jesus came to set the bound free. Through the story of the woman who had been bound for 18 years, we saw that bo***ge does not have to become our identity or our new normal. Jesus restores, gives rest, and reminds us of who we are in Him. Whatever has held us down, God is able to mold us, remake us, and bring us into freedom.

As we partook in Holy Communion, we were reminded of the finished work of Jesus and the price that was paid for our freedom. Because of His body and His blood, let the bound say, “I’m free.”

Another profound teaching this Sunday on purposeful living. We were reminded that we were made in the image of God, and the image of God is holiness and perfection. As His children, our lives should increasingly reflect His nature.

Through genuine repentance, growth, and fruitfulness, our walk with God should produce transformation from the inside out. In the Kingdom, growth is the hallmark, and stagnation is not permitted.

This Sunday, we were taught that friendship with the world creates enmity with God. We cannot claim to follow Jesus while still conforming to the patterns of this world. We must choose Jesus completely, separate ourselves from anything that corrupts our hearts, and be willing to sacrifice whatever stands between us and God.

As believers, we carry the fire, presence, anointing, protection, and authority of God. It is time to stop playing Christianity, recognize the power God has placed within us, and boldly live as true followers of Christ.
