This Sunday, we received a profound teaching from Luke 15: “Once Was Lost, Now I’m Found.”
Through the parables of the lost sheep, lost coin, and prodigal son, we learned that although everyone can be lost, not everyone is lost in the same way. Some desperately need someone to lead them back, while others are content in their wandering until a crisis brings them to their senses.
For those who are truly lost and cannot find their way back, we have a responsibility to reach out, restore them gently, and help carry them home in love. But like the prodigal son, some must come to the realization of their condition. We cannot change every heart through our own strength. Sometimes, all we can do is pray, trust in the intervention of the Holy Spirit, and remain ready to receive them with love, just as our Heavenly Father does.
Our prayer is that every wandering soul will encounter God’s mercy, come to repentance, and find their way back home.
