Tomorrow, 09/06/2026, in MC Kids, we will be learning about when Moses Confronted Pharaoh.

Because of Pharaoh’s hard heart, Egypt suffered but God’s people were saved. Because of Jesus’ loving heart, He willingly suffered on the cross so we could be saved from sin. His blood saves us from our sin just as the Passover lamb’s blood saved the firstborn of the Israelites.

Join us Sunday as our kids, up to 5th grade, are invited to worship together and learn together! Nursery is available for younger children.

There are many ways to get involved and make a difference in the lives of others at Monroe City Church of God! We currently are in need of help in 3 areas of ministry.

Kids Hope USA Mentor
Become a mentor and make a lasting impact in the life of a child through Kids Hope USA at South Knox Elementary. Mentors build a meaningful relationship with a student by spending intentional time together (1 hour each week), offering encouragement, listening, and showing the love of Christ. This is a wonderful opportunity to invest in a child and help them know they are valued and cared for. Time of day varies based on child's grade, however, you can pick the best day for you.

3rd Grade iREAD Partner Program
Help encourage a third-grade student as they develop their reading skills through the iREAD Partner Program. Volunteers have the opportunity to spend time with a student, read together, and provide positive support and encouragement. Your time could help build confidence and a love for reading while showing a child that their community cares about their success. 1-3 days per week from 8:15-9 AM.

Wednesday Night Bus Ministry
Help us reach children and families in our community by serving with our Wednesday night bus ministry. Volunteers can assist with transportation, welcoming children, building relationships, and helping create a safe and positive environment as children come to church. This ministry is a great opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus and help children experience the love of God. Currently starting transportation at 5:15-6 PM and 7:30-8:15 PM each Wednesday.

NEW ADULT BIBLE STUDY — GENERATIONS IN THE WORD

This new Adult Bible Study began last week and you will for sure want to join in with them!

We will be walking through the MC Kids curriculum from The Gospel Project, creating a unique opportunity for the whole family to grow together in God’s Word.

Imagine being able to sit around the dinner table or while riding in the car and talk with your children about exactly what they learned at church—sharing thoughts, asking questions, and growing in faith together!

Our hope is to see generations growing in the Word, building one another up, and living out a faith that is passed from one generation to the next.

All adults are welcome! You don’t have to have children attending MC Kids or MC Students to join us. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, or simply someone who wants to grow deeper in God’s Word, there’s a place for you!

📖 Bible Study: Immediately following dinner until 7:30 PM
🧸 Nursery: Available only for families attending the study

God saw His people suffering as slaves in Egypt and sent Moses to rescue them. We all suffer as slaves to sin, and God sent Jesus to rescue us by dying and rising again..
