Join us Sunday mornings at 8:45am for Adult Bible Study and Children's Sunday School, and at 10:00am for Divine Service in person and online! In 1963, Faith Lutheran Church was founded by several families in the Monmouth-Independence area with the sponsorship of Peace Lutheran Church in West Salem and the Northwest District Mission Committee. As Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace you have been sa
ved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." We carry this faith with us wherever we go, serving others as the Lord leads us. The faith that God has given to us leads us to love others, and this faith and love is carried with us into homes, classrooms, hospitals, on the street, in meetings, and anywhere else our Savior Jesus Christ leads us. As Ephesians says "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." As our mission statement says: "The purpose of this congregation shall be to give honor and glory through worship and service to the Triune God; to publicly proclaim the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone; to nurture the faith and unity of its members through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God, the administration of the Sacraments and in acts of love and charity to all those in need."
