Attention Monmouth Ridge Cemetery Right of Interment Owners (Lot Owners): The planting of shrubs is prohibited in any of Monmouth’s 13 Cemeteries under the Management of Monmouth Cemetery Association. For shrubs that exceed 48 inches tall, that currently exist in the “Monmouth Ridge Cemetery” on lots (or are deemed interfering with cemetery maintenance or cemetery aesthetics quality) will soon be removed by the Cemetery Association. For questions regarding plantings of any kind or other Monmouth Cemetery Association Rules and Guideline please contact Monmouth Maine Cemetery Sexton Mary Turner at 207-329-1762. Monmouth Cemetery Trustees visited the Lyons Cemetery in East Monmouth as part of our September meeting. We have recently paid to have many of the stones straightened and leveled. A young deer 🦌 ran through while we were there! Visit a cemetery this fall - they are all looking great!

Monmouth Center Cemetery is located on Main Street in Monmouth Maine adjacent to historic Cumston Hall. The gravestones date back to 1799 and are primarily made of sandstone and slate (Buggia, Jr. 2014).
