I used to play the piano fairly well. I could play the hymns well enough to sing along. But I neglected to practice and that gift has drifted away. I'm determined to get it back, so I am practicing every day. Only 15 minutes. But it's coming back. My favorite songs to play are the children's songs. One of my new favorites is Holy Places #1026 in the Hymns for Home and Church. Our children are singing it, and it is beautiful. Listen to it and tell me what you think.

My daughter was making bread and sent me this:
"I had to dump four loaves worth of bread dough today. A few years ago I probably would not have done it and just tried to make it work. But in the last few years I have learned that you sometimes just need to throw things away, even if it's something you hard worked hard on. After all that mixing and kneading, it just didn't smell right.

This can be true in other aspects of our lives. Sometimes we just hold on to something that is not working for us because we have put alot of time or effort in it. Maybe it's a show we are invested in but really shouldn't be in our life - maybe it's the time, maybe it's the content. Or a bad habit we want to break because it is not healthy for us - physically or spiritually.

Just like throwing away a big batch of bread dough because it didn't smell right and having to start over, it might be hard to restart but you will end up with a much better result."

"When we minister, we are helping to answer each other's prayers. We are the Savior's hands."
"When we minister as He would, we begin to think, feel, and love as He would."
"The Lord knows the hearts of those we minister to. He loves them and He loves you. He will help you to bless them in the ways they need."
Sister Kristin M. Yee April 2026

This talk inspires me to want to minister better - holier - like the Savior.

President Oaks message was perfect for Easter Sunday:

Resurrection
Living worthy to meet Christ by loving one another

One of my favorite quotes, "When we seek to keep all the commandments in our personal lives, we are sometime accused of having no love for those who don't. When we show personal love and support loving causes, we are sometimes misunderstood as implying support for results that contradict our other religious duties. But as followers of Christ, we should seek to live peaceably and lovingly with other children of God who do not share our values and do not have the covenant obligations we have assumed. . . we should pour forth love to all people.

What talk are you looking forward to studying?
