HAVING A BAD DAY?

2 Chronicles 20:15 says, Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's.

We all have bad days. So did the biblical heroes: Jeremiah, when all his fears materialized at the destruction of Jerusalem (Lamentations 1:1); Jacob, when he heard that his son had been mauled to death by a wild animal (Genesis 37:34); and Jehoshaphat, when he learned a massive army was coming against his kingdom (2 Chronicles 20:3). "Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the Lord"

(Chronicles 20:3). Calling together his people, he led them in prayer saying, "Our God... We have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you" (verse 12, NIV).

Many times when I come to the end of the road myself, I pray "Lord, I don't know what to do, but my eyes are on you"....... Focusing on what God has done in the past takes my mind off the problem and positions me to hear His solution.

"Doubtful About God's Goodness"

First of all, you must know strong evidence exists for Jesus' resurrection. Science supports creationism. Personal experiences can serve as compelling arguments for the reality of the supernatural.

Your choice is to believe or not believe. When you're hurting, though, the choice to believe is tough: Is God hearing my prayers? Will He meet my needs? Does He really care? If you find yourself doubting, talk to God about your doubts (He's already aware of them!) and then open His Word. Read the words of Scripture and choose faith. Choose to believe God's Words.

Mark 11:22-24 says, "Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believe that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
