Prayers for all in attendance!

Today's the day! WPA's 2026 Annual Conference registration opens at 1 PM today, and Laity and Clergy Sessions begin at 9AM tomorrow morning. We're putting the finishing touches on our holy conferencing space at PennWest California, and looking forward to greeting attendees arriving in a few short hours.

SING TO THE LORD A NEW SONG

Our heartfelt thanks to Judy Yester and David Hodge for providing special music at Monaca UMC's worship service yesterday!

Judy filled in for our regular organist, Norma Coast, during Norma's much-needed time off.

Judy then accompanied David Hodge, as he sang a beautiful rendition of "Beneath the Cross of Jesus."

What a special treat!

IT'S THE DADS' TURN

Last month, our curio honored the mothers of our congregation (pictured). This month, it's the dads' turn!

Please bring in a photo of a dad from your family (including yourself, if you're a dad!) so Gretchen Brubaker Harich and Joanne Carey Ziegler can turn the curio into a Father's Day display!

GIVE BLOOD — SAVE A LIFE

In partnership with the American Red Cross, Monaca UMC will host a blood drive in the Carey Community Center on Monday, June 1st from Noon until 5pm.

MEMORIAL DAY BLESSINGS

Going into this Memorial Day weekend, Monaca UMC is looking back on a lovely National Day of Prayer service held earlier this month at George Washington Park in Monaca.

We were blessed to have Pastor Jim Sands of Monaca UMC and Pastor Angela Smith of Redeemer Trinity Lutheran Church there to say a few words and offer prayers.

We hope to make this an annual ecumenical event. In the meantime, have a safe and meaningful weekend!

A TIMELY TEA ❤️🤍💙

This year's Ladies Tea at Monaca UMC blended a love of art with a love of country!

Members of Beaver Valley Artists presented a beautiful art show, and Vera Lovewell painted a large "Starry Night"-inspired backdrop for the event. (If you haven't seen it in person yet, be sure to check it out soon!😍)

As the audience watched and sang along, Dee Ruckert from Pastel Presentations created a pastel that incorporated symbols from a series of patriotic songs.

Dee selected the theme based on America's 250th anniversary celebration taking place this year.

Congratulations to Mary Corless for winning Dee's completed pastel as a door prize!

Thank you to everyone who attended, who showed art, who helped to set up and/or clean up, and who contributed in any other way -- with special thanks to Vera Lovewell and Tina Allen for all of their time and effort in putting together another fabulous event!!

We hope to see you again next year!

FREE EVENT FOR KIDS & TEENS!

Summer has unofficially begun, and that means VBS at Monaca UMC is right around the corner!

All kids entering grades K through 12 this fall are invited to **Illumination Station** — where we'll be shining a light on who Jesus really is.

Each day of VBS will feature:

*Breakfast
*Crafts
*Lessons
*Music
*Skits
*Games

Monday, June 15, 2026—Friday, June 19, 2026
9am-Noon each day

PLUS we're hosting a wrap-up party with lunch from Noon to 1pm on Friday for parents and friends to join the kids!
