As we enter a season where many conversations surrounding identity, sexuality, and culture become more visible, we want to clearly express both our conviction and our heart as a church family.

At River City Church, we believe every person is created in the image of God and carries immeasurable value, dignity, and worth. Every individual is deeply loved by the Father, and every person is welcome to encounter the presence, grace, and truth of Jesus Christ.

We also believe the Bible remains our foundation for faith, truth, and life. Because of that, we hold to the historic biblical understanding that God designed marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy is intended to exist within that covenant relationship.

At the same time, we reject hatred, cruelty, mockery, fear, or mistreatment toward anyone. Jesus never compromised truth, but He also never stopped extending compassion, mercy, and invitation. We desire to follow His example.

Our church is not a place for perfect people. It is a place for people searching for hope, healing, restoration, identity, freedom, and relationship with God. Every one of us comes to Christ with struggles, brokenness, questions, temptations, and areas where we need His transforming grace.

If you are someone wrestling with identity, sexuality, shame, confusion, loneliness, or pain, we want you to know this: you are not our enemy. You are loved by God, and you are welcome here.

We believe real transformation happens not through condemnation, but through an encounter with the truth and love of Jesus Christ. Our commitment is to stand firmly on Scripture while extending the same grace that God has extended to us.

In a world filled with anger, division, and outrage, may the Church be known for both truth and love.

By sponsoring a child for camp or giving toward the overall cost of camp, you’re not just helping cover a registration fee — you’re investing in a life-changing experience filled with worship, fun, community, and spiritual growth. Your generosity can help remove financial barriers and give a child the opportunity to make memories that will last forever and deepen their relationship with Christ.

PROPHETIC TRAINING

Sunday, June 7 • 9:00 AM

If you’ve ever been curious about how the prophetic operates in the church, this two-week Prophetic Training Class is for you. Together, we’ll explore the foundations of the prophetic, including the difference between the office of the prophet and the gift of prophecy, all in a clear and practical way.

You’ll not only learn, but also have the opportunity to step out and activate the gift of prophecy in a safe, faith-filled environment.

The class begins June 7 and meets from 9:00–9:45 AM in the chapel and will be led by Susan Shrader.

Come ready to grow, be equipped, and deepen your sensitivity to the voice of God.

Childcare will be provided on the 4th floor in the playground.

FORGIVEN & SET FREE HEALING CLASS

Forgiven and Set Free is a 10-week, faith-filled healing class for women who have experienced abortion and are seeking hope, freedom, and restoration.

Led by women who have personally walked this journey, the group offers a safe and supportive place to find healing — whether your experience was days, weeks, or years ago.

Classes begin Monday evenings starting June 1 at The Woman’s Choice Center in Bettendorf.
