Just a gentle reminder that the service tomorrow June 5th at 10:30am is in Memory of Rev Dean.
We will have places in the back of the church for monetary Memorials for Rev Dean, for anyone who would like to donate a gift to Unity QC, prayer requests, and the service will be about 15-20 minutes; afterwards there will be refreshments in the Community Room for everyone to enjoy some Fellowship.

Also Tomorrow is the final sale on the books that belonged to Rev. Dean and were gifted to us. There is a love offering box on the desk for those who wish to donate an offering for whatever books you would like to take with you.

Please know we appreciate all who attend in person and those who will be able to attend in Spirit.

Just a gentle reminder our final indoor sale of the church's dishes, books, and many other items is today, May 21st, from 10am to 2pm.
We were gifted all of Rev. Dean's books so we have about 300 more books to find a home for.
Some of course are Unity but many are Metaphysical. so tell you family, friends and facebook friends to stop by and take a look.

NOTE: please bring your reusable bags when possible..

Hello to all

Saturday May 21st we will be having the final moving sale, to clear out all the dishes, books, Sunday School supplies and many other things.
The sale is from 10am til 2pm, prices are marked to sell and we have been asked to take Rev. Dean's books to add to sale, so more books to browse thru, providing we get them here by Saturday.
So please tell your family, friends and face book buddies that we are here to share what we have collected over the years...so many years, so much stuff!
Our Sale last Sunday was great and we sold a great deal however there is still plenty to sell.

NOTE: Remembering Rev. Dean is scheduled for Sunday June 5th, at 10:30am, it will be hosted by Rev. Sue Peters and Alice Rice, LUT. It will be approximately a half an hour and refreshments and fellowship will be afterwards at 11am. and as always all are welcome.
Many Blessings to all who are saddened by his Transition, but know he is at Peace and will always be in our Hearts.

The Membership Meeting has been moved to June 12th at 10:30am.

We received the news that Rev. Dean has made his transition, paving a path home to Spirit, early yesterday morning, peacefully, after an illness the past few months. He had just told a friend he was ready to go, God heard and answered his prayers.
At his request there will not be a public service, however Unity QC will be having a Memorial Service on June 5th at 10:30am to honor him and the years of service he gave to us...He was a teacher, a friend and a truth teller. He loved God with all his heart, and although, like all of us, not a perfect human, he came close. He gave lovingly, generously and with great joy to all whose path he crossed and he will be dearly missed by many; family and friends alike. However we know he
is watching over us as we follow our path on this journey called life and he will always be in our hearts. We know there were some great people there, waiting to welcome him home. Dave Peters, Audrey, and Dale Rowse, to name a few, that easily come to mind but so many more, too great a number to list. They have all left a great legacy in the QC area. Please remember his family in your prayers today and in the coming days.
So plan to join us if you can on June 5th at 10:30am to remember him and his journey in our lives.

May 15th...due to the journey of life, the person planning to speak has been led to another place on that day so it's been decided that we will have a sale. Since the church is up for sale and much of the things here aren't going with us, including many books, knick knacks etc, it's been decided to sell them. So plan on attending this sale on May 15th from 10:30am til Noon and see what you may need to enhance your life. Everything is priced to sell.
Also spread the word that the Baby Grand Yamaha Piano is to be sold..The going price is $12,000.00 according to the Expert we contacted. It'll be awesome to see it in its new home being enjoyed again. Such a Beautiful Musical Delight.

May 8th
We welcome the students and/or Coordinators from Augustana, to Unity to tell us how they help the children of parents with Cancer, or parents who have passed because of Cancer.
They raise money to pay for a week long camp to take kids, free of charge, to camp and just let them be kids. They also take time from their summer to go to these camps with the kids and nurture them, listen to them, and teach them to laugh and play again. It's an amazing story and one we all will be blessed just to hear. So please try to find the time to join us and welcome them to Unity and hear what they have to say. and see how we can help in many ways.

April 24th
A new speaker from World Relief to talk to us about how churches can help in the resettling of people from another Country, Spencer Conner who is the Church Mobilizer for World Relief. He just moved to Davenport from out West and is helping local churches experience the Mission God has intended for all of us.

NOTE: April 24th is Birthday Sunday, there will be cake after services as we celebrate all of March and Aprils Birthday...All are invited and welcome!!

April 17th Easter Sunday will be another good friend of Unity, Dr. Alex Margrave bringing home the Easter Story of Jesus.

May 8th, Mothers Day is the Augustana Coordinators of Camp Kesem, where kids from all over get to go be a kid again after going thru cancer of one of the parents or having a parent pass from cancer..the students take time from their summer to run these Camps and help the kids let go of the grief and just "Be A Kid Again" Kudos to them
so it's an exciting month coming up and there is more to come...
