A Fresh Start - Fearless 5/17/26

Is it spring? Summer? No, it’s CONSTRUCTION SEASON. This year, for the next four months, it affects traffic flow in front of the church.

From 7th Street to approximately 11th Street, 35th Avenue Place/36th Avenue is down to one lane, heading west (the lane furthest from the driveway). The eastbound lane is closed. You cannot turn off of 7th Street to get to our church.

In order to get to the church, you will have to access 36th Avenue from 16th Street (the intersection where Walgreen’s is located).

When leaving the church, you can only turn left.

This isn’t going to be easy, and there will likely be delays. We ask that you allow sufficient time to deal with the detours and let God grow your patience and grace in the waiting!

Construction is supposed to wrap up September 10. Let’s pray for the work to be done sooner!

Why do you look for the living among the dead?
He is not here.
He has RISEN!

Jesus' death, burial and resurrection was done all because of His great love for you.
He is waiting for those who will trust Him.
So, what choice will you make…because it may feel like choosing between life and death. But look closer…all He has ever offered you is life.
You see, God has sent His Son to the most unlikely of people...urging them to follow Him and asking them to trust.

It is Saturday.

Things are quiet. The disciples are in shock for everything they have heard and seen over the past three years have come to a sudden and brutal ending the day before.

But in the quiet, things are not as they seem.

The day will end. Night will come.

And the next day will arrive.

And with the new day, the Son will rise.

Friday mid-afternoon
Jesus is dead.
It is finished.

Those who came to watch the spectacle, who hours earlier yelled "crucify" have left. It is getting time to prepare for the evening meal. And now that the three men on the crosses have all died, there are better things to do.

But there is one who has asked for the body of Jesus. And with permission given, will have the body taken to a tomb.
