These two are cousins and James wanted to be buried by Lydia and John. Starkweather was Molalla's first teacher then went on to be our Senator. The stones were badly broken.

These pictures are of the achievements over the last 10 years 2009 -2019 which has brought this Historic Cemetery back to life and awareness for our community. William's stone was added June of 2011 when his grave was found. He and his wife, Racheal were the founders of 640 acres in 1851. In 1882 their daughter Mary, along with Horace Dibble donated to the public this 1.5 for free burial, only. There are hundreds of people interned here within the property lines, which include the stones surrounded by the fence. This property runs along Bear Creek at the West side, then the North side runs behind the Mormon Church up to the Stone Place Apts. black fence, then East side runs along that black fence, then South side goes from that black fence down to the Bear Creek again.
