Church of God Ministries

Church of God Ministries To humbly serve all who seek God’s Face and the network of believers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Warm Hellos from here on the Gulf Coast! Have questions?

We’re happy you’ve found us! What makes Church of God Ministries (CGM) unique? We’re a part of the “ekklesia” or greater community of believers that follows the teachings of Jesus Christ and the early New Testament Church. We value the living Word of God, the Bible. We also take Christ’s words to heart when he said in John 21:17, “Feed My Sheep”. You and we are His sheep and we all belong to Him,

the Living Head of His church, our Chief Shepherd. To grow spiritually, we must all be fed. Jesus set the standard for us, and we strive to honor, obey, and love Him and each other as He taught. We sincerely hope you will be greatly blessed by connecting with and/or visiting us and responding to our invitation to participate with a network of believers in the gospel of Jesus Christ, which together make up the “body” of our Lord. Perhaps you have noticed that no particular church, ministry, or group is highlighted as “better, bigger, or more spiritual” than another. That’s because we believe that although God’s children have been scattered, we must all continue to be a light in this darkened world. Just as the ancient nation of Israel included different tribes, clans, and families, the “church” of God also is composed of fellowships, groups, and ministries who are making disciples by both observing and teaching the “keeping of His commandments” and the sharing of the “testimony of Jesus Christ.” We are indeed part of that body of Christ. Some today claim to be “the only true church”, or the best ministry because they have this or that. The body is fitly placed together as it pleases Him (I Cor. 12:18). Unique, well yes, each of us is, working together, recognizing the need to be spiritually growing and serving as a family…not I’m of this church or that one, which can become focused inwardly…. Our ministry is based here in Spanish Fort, Alabama, on the Gulf Coast, but we serve His body throughout the U.S. and International areas. You’ll notice our “Regional Contact and Fellowship” drop down menu shares some of the cities where others gather regularly as part of this ministry. Click the link to go to the “Regional Contact Page”: https://buff.ly/31rMFdt

If you’d like to have the work the Lord has entrusted to you listed as part of the “spiritual body” or Family of God, please send us a request via our Contact Us page: https://buff.ly/38ziceo. Our sincere prayer is for our ministries and this site to provide a welcome place of worship, fellowship, reconciliation, and unity for those who are willing to gather peaceably in the presence of our Father and His Son! Ask, we’re here to talk…not lecture or condemn. Oh, and by the way, something that’s missing from these electronic pages is the personal touch you’ll find with our worship services, which are held live, in person, (as well as our live stream webcast), and weekly video or audio conferencing with interactive Spiritual Fellowship Opportunities. We would love to have you visit and worship with us! We follow Him in fellowshipping throughout each month, and on the weekly Sabbath and Holy Days, as He instructed. We meet to praise God each Saturday to worship Him and fellowship together. Please reach out to us if we may be of help to you in any way. My wife and I look forward to talking with you! May you be richly blessed in your walk with Him!

~Pastor Scott Hoefker

“Holding on to bitterness and resentment hurts primarily the person who is holding on to it. There is an old saying I’ve often used that says `the burr under the saddle on the horse hurts the horse as much as the rider’. The phrase originates from riding on a horse. A `burr’ is a prickly, rough seed pod. If a burr gets caught underneath a horse’s saddle, it digs into the horse’s skin, causing constant discomfort and agitation. What seems small can become huge in short order.” ~Pastor Scott Hoefker
