"How Great Is Our God" A Night of Wonder and Exploration
June 17, 2026, 5:30-7:00 PM

Children (Preschool through 5th grade) are invited to join us for a fun summer evening where kids will explore God’s world through hands-on experiments, discovery, and Bible truth! This is the day that the Lord has made! Join us on Trinity Sunday for worship at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Rebekah Abel Lamar will preach on Psalm 8:1-9. Music will include Carter Hale Jr. singing Samuel Liddle’s setting of “How Lovely Are Thy Dwellings,” and the Sanctuary Choir singing Mark Haye’s setting of “Wade in the Water” and John Ness Beck’s setting of “He Shall Feed His Flock.”

Wear red to help us celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost Sunday! Rev. Lamar will preach from Acts 2:1-21 with a sermon titled, "Just Waiting." Choral music includes Mark Patterson’s arrangement of the Spiritual “Give Me Jesus” which will include soprano soloist Kelly Connor, and a setting of an “Alleluia” text by William Boyce. Join us for worship at 10:30 a.m. The GSPC will lead worship and the senior Mac Boone (son of Damon and Elizabeth Boone) will reflect on Act 9:1-19 in a conversation with Rev. Lamar. Music includes the Handbell Choir playing a setting of “When The Saints” and a setting of the “Llanfair” hymn tune. The Sanctuary Choir will sing Allen Pote’s rousing “A Jubilant Song.”

Lamar will continue her sermon series, “Expect the Unexpected,” with a sermon based on Acts 9:10-19 titled “Just Being Reasonable.” Music includes Victor Johnson’s arrangement of the Spiritual “Elijah Rock” and Craig Courtney’s arrangement of “Peace I Give to You.”
