Hello Church Family!
I don’t know about you, but I have been so encouraged by what God is doing in this season!
For the last six years, part of our DNA at Cottage Hill has been asking the Lord to help us reach 200 people each year and see them accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and follow through with baptism. It was so exciting to see that goal reached yet again this past Sunday!
Almost every Sunday, we get to hear testimony after testimony of God’s faithfulness and His love toward us. And while it is absolutely worth celebrating, we know there are still so many more people who need to experience the same amazing grace that each of those 200+ people have experienced.
Many of us have friends, family members, coworkers, and neighbors who have an emptiness inside. They are trying to fill a hole in their lives with so many different things, but the truth is, there is only One who can truly satisfy. Only Jesus can meet the deepest needs of our hearts. Only Jesus can bring us out of our brokenness, forgive our sin, and give us new life.
I can imagine that as you are reading this, you are already thinking of someone you know who is in that place. I know I have people coming to my mind as I write this.
Church family, I want to encourage you, and myself, to pray for those who need a relationship with Jesus. Pray for those who are lost. Invite them to church, but don’t just stop at the invitation. Find a way to invest in them. Love them. Serve them. Listen to them. Build a relationship with them. Most importantly, let them see the light of Jesus through your life.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:16:
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
What a great reminder that our calling isn’t just to invite people to church. We are called to be the light of Jesus wherever we go. We have the opportunity to show people the love of Christ through the way we live, the way we love, and the way we serve.

Who is the person you can begin praying for, investing in, loving, and pointing toward Jesus?
Let’s continue to be a church that celebrates what God is doing, while also remembering there are still so many people who need to hear the Gospel and experience the love of Jesus.
Let’s let our light shine!
