Love Packages is a non-profit organization based in Butler, IL and Decatur, AL. Their ministry is to collect Bibles and other Christian literature, then ship the Word of God all over the world!
“In May, 2026 it was my first time to go with a group from CHBC to the satellite warehouse in Decatur. A few days before we left, Pastor Ronnie McCarson collects donations of Bibles, Sunday School literature & other Christian literature from churches in the Mobile & Baldwin County areas, which we took with us.
Upon arrival at the warehouse in Decatur, we were greeted by Jason Jenkins, operations manager. He brought us up-to-date on the ministry and instructed us on our assignments. I was overwhelmed at the tremendous tasks awaiting us!
With me being a rookie, my seasoned co-workers were very helpful in instructing me. Within a few minutes, I was totally engaged in the sorting aspect and began to dwell on the rewarding benefits of such a ministry -- knowing Bibles and other Christian literature would reach the hands of those who may be reading or hearing the Gospel for the very first time.
We quickly began to sort & categorize, bind and pack the materials into boxes, mostly banana boxes! Different kinds of materials are packed in color-coded boxes for easier distribution on the mission field.
On the last day, a truck arrives with a very large cargo container and men begin to load the container until it is completely full. We all prayed over the driver, the contents, the safety of the cargo container to reach it's destination in Malawi, Africa and those who receive the literature will come to know Jesus!
I was truly blessed by going and participating in such a ministry that will change lives!”
