Today, we got to experience the tremendous joy of baptism! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ A beautiful picture of dying to our old life & being raised to walk in new life with Jesus!

We are so thankful for the work God has been doing & for the privilege of watching Him transform lives!!

We’ve spent the last few weeks walking through the final moments of Matthewβ€”the cross, the empty tomb, & the incredible truth that Jesus is alive! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

But Matthew doesn’t end with the resurrection. It ends with a mission!

Jesus tells His disciples to go. Go & make disciples. Go & baptize. Go & teach others to follow Him.

The good news of Jesus was never meant to stop with us. Because He has all authority, we can go boldly. Because He is with us always, we never go alone. Because He has called us, our lives should point others toward Him!

β€œAnd surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” β€” Matthew 28:20

What a way to finish Matthew!! Jesus is risen, Jesus is reigning, Jesus is with us, & Jesus has given us a mission!

We’re thankful for the Gospel, thankful for our church family, & thankful for the opportunity to go & make disciples! πŸ’š

We had SO much fun as we started Story Time back today! It was such a joy to see familiar faces & welcome some new friends into the mix! πŸ’›

One of the sweetest parts of this ministry is realizing just how much has changed since we started back in 2022. Some of the little ones who came to our very first Story Time are now big kids & at school… & now their younger siblings join us! πŸ₯Ή

It’s a little bittersweet watching those babies grow up, but what a gift it is to get to be part of their lives! πŸ’–

Last Sunday, we continued our journey through the Gospel of Matthew with Matthew 27:57–28:15!

Jesus was crucified. He was buried. And then… the tomb was empty!! πŸ™ŒπŸͺ¨

The resurrection matters because it shows us that Jesus is faithful to His promises, sin & death did NOT have the final word, what Jesus accomplished on the cross was enough, & that our hope is found in a RISEN Savior!

The resurrection isn’t simply something we believe happenedβ€”it is the foundation of our faith & the source of our hope! 🀍

Tomorrow, we finish our journey through Matthew! What a powerful way to close out this Gospel & celebrate the truth that Jesus is alive! πŸ•ŠοΈ

Last night, we had the opportunity to attend a Church Connect & Worship Night alongside 13 local churches & many college students at Metro Mobile Baptist Campus Ministries! It was such an encouragement to see churches coming together with one heart & one purposeβ€”to point students to Jesus! 🀍

Worship was incredibly led by 3Circle Church - Midtown & their campus pastor, Micah Gaston, shared a powerful message with us!

We’re so thankful for opportunities like this to meet students, connect with other churches, & be part of what God is doing on the campus at South! We’re praying that the Lord continues to draw college students into relationship with Him & connects them with churches where they can grow, serve, & find a place to belong! 🫢🏼
