Foundational Scriptures: Matthew 14:29 & 2 Corinthians 5:7

Distractions will get you out of the will of God for your life if you allow it. We put more faith in what we see and not what Jesus said. Placing more stock in what we see, not what Jesus is dangerous. Thanks be unto God that we have a Savior that all we have to do is reach out our hand and say “Jesus save me!” We live, move and have our being in God. Sometimes it’s best not to know everything especially when it is contrary to the Will of God. Distractions keep you from the places that you are supposed to be. Many women and men have fallen because they yearn for something or someone they were not supposed to have. Distractions literally can mean life or death (naturally or spiritually). Let’s be mindful of what we allow to become distractions in our lives.

God prefers you to choose life because there are only 2 choices which is life and blessings. Our lives are lived by the choices we make. God promises that if you are obedient to whose Word you will reap the fruit of it. In trusting God we can have our best life. All things outside of life are death and evil. We can have everything, but the one thing that God anticipates is that we choose Jesus. Because we can gain the world and lose our souls (Mark 8:36). In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it (Deut. 30:16)

Acts 17:27-29

Moving in God is walking alongside Him as a companion. There are no excuses when it is time to move. God eliminated all the excuses. A lot of times being in obedience to God is better than any sacrifice. Trust and obedience align with each other. You have to trust God the entire time. He will lead and guide you in every way. God is our GPS (God Position System) because He will position you every time. God wants to be the #1 person in your life. You will be more comfortable if we make Him that. (Prov. 3:5-6) God wants us to trust Him solely, not just for things but overall. Make a decision to trust God no matter what. Don’t allow strange things to lead you into a different path. It’s important that you keep walking with God and being in perfect alignment with Him. If you want something to move or be removed, pray and fast. Be in alignment with God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The Bible is the Playbook. Everything in our bible is personalized for us. Every time we study our playbook (Bible) we should be getting better and better. We are God’s child so we are a part of His Team. When “Game Day” comes we already know what to do because we have our playbook. We are overcomers! (1 John 5:3-5) We are lenders and not borrowers. (2 Cor. 9: 7-14) We have the ability to do all things through Christ if we get in our playbook. (Philippians 4:13) We can have whatever we ask God if we believe in Him. ( John 15:3-4) What stops you from studying your playbook to be a better disciple of Christ? Your playbook will tell you what you need to be better at whether you like it or not (James 1:22-24) When you get into your playbook, you become a different person (Philippians 1:1-6) Whenever you hear the playbook being read it should bring you excitement and joy. It should put you in a new place (Rom. 10:17)

Philippians 3:13-14

A made up mind is a renewed mind. God's promises to us did not change. What he said yesterday, stands today. We have to have a made up mind to obey God even when we face obstacles because He is bigger than the obstacles. We are to obey His instructions and move in the way that He instructed. Being a leader is not about having a title. It is a weight and responsibility with it. God’s plan and vision are to do great things in the lives of His people. We have to have a made up mind and know that. Must trust that God is a capable God. Moving forward is an intentional thing, you cannot do it standing still. If you are not willing to change and step out of your comfort zone you will be stuck there. God has already given us the instructions of what to do. Let us be all that God has told us to do.

Psalm 139 23-24

We have to be careful of the things that we allow to sit in our hearts. You can be hurt in one relationship and carry hurt in the next. What’s inside of you doesn’t stay inside of you. It will eventually come out. (Luke 6:45) God deserves an invitation and a willing response (Psalm 139 23-24) Jesus is standing at the door knocking but He still wants us to invite Him in. He wants us to invite Him into our hearts where things are hidden. We should want God to be a part/deal with every part of us. God is concerned about our inward parts. It is easy to pray “Search me Oh God” until He reveals what is in our hearts. When God shows us something that doesn’t belong in us, we need to allow Him to deal with it even when it is uncomfortable. We surrender our heart when something that is there that is not supposed to be there. Desire is to replace the wrong with right. (Ez. 36:26)

James 1:22-25
One thing that you have to have when moving forward is being honest with yourself. We have to allow God to show us what is preventing us from moving forward. We have to look in the mirror to accept what we see, not settle in it. In life we see things that we want to see and it becomes common. The mirror shows you exactly who you are. Your friends should be a reflection of you. We have to get to a point where we are completely honest with ourselves. If you keep covering up your blemishes then there will be another distortion. Treat the wound, treat the problem. It’s time for us to look in the mirror and see the things that are really there. It’s not a bad thing, it’s a good thing. You will be able to put things in place that are out of place. We want to make sure that we are not self sabotaging. Own up to what needs to be fixed, trim it off with the Word of God.
