Hear from Bri Kestler, PA-C, as she shares how CMMSA has impacted her life and what it means to serve both as a professor and a Bible study leader!!
“CMMSA’s small groups have helped me grow in my faith and pushed me to understand the scripture at a greater depth. It got me out of my superficial knowledge and asked me to understand themes that Lord has instilled in his creations. There is a sense of accountability that forms by working with my students and future colleagues, they learn about my life and the values I hold, and it is my responsibility to carry those values through into every situation they may witness. Being able to share how I incorporate the Lord and prayer into my medical practice is so fulfilling. Providing examples of how it can be done can take away the concerns and worries and further support future generations of doctors as they welcome the Lord into their patient care areas. Medical school is a very difficult time and in my professor role I guide students to develop good medical practice habits. But if I can be there to spiritually support a student or help them learn to rely and trust in the Lord more during their stressful times, than I can help instill better spiritual practices which they can call upon during any time in their life.”
