West Mobile Church of Christ The West Mobile Church of Christ is doing all within our power to follow the inspired blueprint left for local churches of Christ from the New Testament.

We invite Christians to join our effort to serve God and anyone in our community to study with us! Our periods for worship are: Sunday morning at 9:00 AM a brief sermon -- Bible classes at are 9:40 AM - Morning Assembly at 10:30 AM (Lord's Supper, singing, prayers, collection for the saints and preaching). We also meet on Wednesday's at 7:00 PM for Bible class.

What profit has the worker from that in which he labors? I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end. I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor - it is the gift of God.” (Ecclesiastes 3:9-13) The Preacher is spot on... work for Jesus today and be rewarded with eternal life on Judgment Day! Christians gather each Sunday to sing spiritual songs like, "I want to be a worker for the Lord." Laboring for the Master is a satisfying way to live... it keeps us motivated, engaged and full of hope! Find hope for your weary soul... visit a local church of Christ in your neighborhood with an active and curious mind/heart! Today is a great day to "get back into life" and that may persuade you to pursue eternal life with God in heaven! And when death knocks on your door, you'll be so glad that you did!

"Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd." (Matthew 9:35-36). Did the Scriptures just describe you... weary and scattered? This is what Jesus and His gospel of the kingdom is all about! Jesus knows our troubles and requests that we all would come to Him... all who are laboring and dealing with heavy burdens. He has the power to provide your soul a very comforting rest! Today, this 1st day of the week, is a great time to lay your burdens on the mighty shoulders of the Savior of humanity. He can carry you through! Find a church of Christ around you today and come with a open heart to worship Him and find rest for your soul. Today could be a turning point in your life and when you find yourself in heaven in the "sweet by and by", you'll be glad you laid your burdens on the Savior of men!

"Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment." (1 Corinthians 1:10). Paul understood that if the congregation wasn't united in in the doctrine of Christ, division would destroy their fellowship. So many of the modern churches around us today hardly speak to the issue of church doctrine: how we are supposed to worship and work for Jesus according to the New Testament! Churches of Christ across the land really focus on Bible principles like this. Why not find a congregation in your area this first day of the week and witness members who worship God as was ordained in the New Testament and work together to bring souls to Jesus... the Bible way. You will be glad that you investigated this very important exhortation Paul gave the Corinthians nearly 2000 years ago. What the Bible teaches matters... not only today, but for eternity.

"'I, Jesus, have sent My angel to tstify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star. And the Spirit and the bride say, 'Come!'. And let him who hears say, "Come!' And let him who thirst come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely." (Revelation 22:16-17) What a great way to finish the New Testament gospel message... that is Good News! Jesus has rolled out an invitation for everyone to come to Him and the Holy Spirit, along with the church of Christ, is begging humanity... COME TO JESUS! Why? Jesus can save us... He can cleanse our souls... He offers us heaven when this life is over. The message of hope and eternal bliss... that is the message of Jesus! Why not find a local church of Christ today and worship the God who made you and desires to free you from you sins! Give your heart and life to Jesus. You really can find peace, happiness and hope... for today and eternity!

“Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing, know that the Lord, He is God. It is He who made us, and not we ourselves; we are the sheep of His pasture.” (Psalm 100:1-3) King David verbalizes his emotional connection with the God who made him! Do we ever think of God this way... as the God who has made us? He has given us: "life, breath and all things" as Paul spoke to the Athenians about the God they didn't know in Acts 17. The Bible is true: God made both you and me! He has planted our feet here to serve Him and worship Him for all the good things we have in this life. Come this beautiful 1st day of the week, to an assembly of a local church of Christ. Worship Him, serve Him and hear a Bible-filled message from His Divine Word. Today could be the day that turns your heart fully towards the Creator of all men... and that my friend, is the best and happiest way to live, both here and forever!

"For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them." (Matthew 13:15). Believe it or not, Jesus wasn't speaking about the United States of America in the year 2026... but sadly, millions of Americans today refuse to "hear, understand & turn" to Jesus, eventhough He has promised healing if we will! The message of the gospel of Christ is available everywhere... in print and on-line! The problem? The hearts of people have grown dull - so many around us are not diligently reading, studying and obeying the gospel of Christ! And, many who still attend some church are not focused on the truths contained in the New Testament. We still do! Attend a local church of Christ in your area this 1st day of the week where the gospel of Christ is effectively and accurately preached, upheld and revered! Worship God with reverence and godly fear! We still encourage the populace about us to become Christians, live as Christians so we can die with the hope of heaven! Today is the day to hear... open your heart and find life eternal!

"But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation. Woe to you who are full, for you shall hunger. Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep. Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for so did the fathers to the false prophets." (Luke 6:24-26) When is the last time you've read those words from Jesus? Alarming, right? Jesus often spoke in ways that set off "alarm bells" to the masses and He did that purposely. He is not condemning those who have money, food, joy or popularity... what He is really speaking against are those who have worldly luxuries at the expense of not serving Him in His glorious kingdom! Jesus came to establish His kingdom (or His church) and Israel needed to press into that kingdom with haste! And yet, so many just ignored Him, His message and His kingdom... all to their eternal detriment! They may have done well in this world, but in the world to come, to miss Jesus as the Messiah and Savior of the world... spelled their doom. Don't let that spell your doom! Jesus built His church and seeks you to be a member of it! He came to save sinners! Why not attend an assembly of a local church of Christ today and hear the good news that can make this life better and better yet... speak of the hope of eternal life with King Jesus!

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for the saints - " (Ephesians 6:18) I really enjoy the way Paul worded that about prayer in verse 18 - praying always with all prayer! It is purposely hyper-exaggerated! In other words, we can't pray enough! Our God is yearning to hear our dependance and reliance on His mighty power to help us overcome and conquer the spiritual enemies in our lives! Pray fellow Christian. Pray for your particular and specific needs AND pray for others too! Pray like it's real... pray like it matters... because, it does! Assemble this fine first day of the week with Christians who know that there is great power in worship and prayer to our Heavenly Creator! God has power to change and dramatically improve our lives! Take advantage of that today for as that old hymn still states: Oh, how praying rest the weary! Prayer will change the night to day; so when life seems dark and dreary, dont' forget to pray!

"... For what is your life? It is even a v***r that appears for a little time and then, vanishes away." (James 4:14) By now, you probably have heard that Senator Lindsey Graham passed away from a sudden illness this weekend. Just Friday, he was flying home from a meeting with the gov't of Ukraine. There was no indication that he was suffering from any illness, especially one that would result in his death this weekend. This is a not a political post, but a post to remind us... we can pass from this life at any moment, even if we feel just fine! Are you ready for your "last day"... today? It's events like this that remind me: I need to be right with my Creator - TODAY. Today is the start of a new week and it's the day that Christians gather together to worship and praise God as from Acts 20:7. Don't wait another day to start your spiritual journey... there are too many lessons from everyday life that show us that waiting till tomorrow may be too late! Find a church of Christ in your location and start worship, praising and obeying Jesus... TODAY!

"But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does." (James 1:25) James, writing by inspiration, insists that we look into the mirror of Jesus Christ (the New Testament) and see how well we are matching up with His teachings! Jesus desires to liberate us from sin and death, but he needs your cooperation! He has given us a law system that frees us from sin and then, sets our course toward eternal Paradise... but, we must adhere to it. Christians this 1st day of the week are gathering in churches of Christ across the globe to worship and praise the ONE who died for them and set them on the road to heaven! You can be one of those who are now free in Christ Jesus! We just celebrated our national independence yesterday, Today is a great day to celebrate our spiritual freedom we enjoy in Christ Jesus. Come, worship His great and holy name! If you've not yet obeyed the gospel of Christ, you can get that accomplished by being baptized into Christ Jesus (Mark 16:16)! Find real freedom - freedom from your sin, today!
