"I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know wickedness. Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, Him I will destroy; the one who has a haughty look and proud heart, Him I will not endure." (Psalm 101:3-5) This was David's promise to God in his leadership over the flock of Israel. How well would we have fared under David's kingship? Is the way we're living right now cause the wrath King David from 1000's of years ago? Is the way we are living cause the wrath of King Jesus right now? Are you aware that these exact principles of character are exacted from us in the New Testament today? Are you living "right" should you die tonight... and then face Jesus in the judgment of your soul? A sobering question, for sure! Today is the day to prepare your heart for that meeting. Today is the day to change for the better! Today is the day to find a local church of Christ in your community and assemble to learn more from the Bible about God's plan for you; to worship, to humble yourself... to start changing your heart. No matter how wicked you've become or how old you are... you can do just that! When you take your last breath on this earth, you sure will be glad you had... a change of heart

"The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch of the evil and the good." (Proverbs 15:3) The wise preacher knew the truth: our God sees everything we do and hears everything we say. Not only that, His power is so great, He even knows the thoughts we are thinking too! That is a scary proposition! Let's turn that into something favorable! The Lord is for us, not against us and His will is not for us to perish, but to come to repentance! God is love and yearns for us to "come to Him" for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Want an example? How hard is it for most of us to get up, get ready and assemble with Christians to worship and praise HIm? Not difficult! The result... it pleases God and it stirs our soul to love and good works! Christians have been assembling together on the 1st day of the week for nearly 2000 years... why not attend a period of worship with a church of Christ in your community today. The Lord will see it and be pleased. And, you may start to rekindle a lost relationship with God who has patiently waited for you to return to Him. Now, that's a good thing!

MEMORIAL DAY - "Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread..." (Acts 20:7) "For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread: and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, 'Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.' In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me." For as often as you eat this break and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes." (1 Corinthians 11:23-26) Yep, today is another memorial day for Christians, being a 1st day of the week. As Americans, we appreciate all our soldiers who gave themselves in battle to secure our freedom as citizen. How much more should we revere and memorialize the ONE (Jesus) who gave His life, shed His blood on the cross, so that our sins could be forgiven and we can find eternity in heaven when this life is over. COME... worship the King! Today is Memorial Day, Christians!

"For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe" (1 Thessalonians 2:13). A lot of believers have missed out by not focusing on the teachings from Paul, Peter and other writers of New Testament books, thinking they're not really all that important (just give me the red letters!). Paul is conveying to us the very "breath" of God in his writings and we ought to read them, study them and do our best to personally wrap them around our hearts! Today is a great day to start doing that if you haven't already. Attend a period of worship with a local church of Christ in town for we are always focused on the teaching straight out of the Bible! Hear God's grand message given to Christians worldwide for all time! Heaven awaits faithful believers! If you have a Bible question, I'd be happy to give you a "Bible" answer, just private message me! Your soul needs the word of God... make it happen, today!

"Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." (Romans 6:3-4) Some have asked, "Why does baptism save us? How does baptism save us?' Paul told the Christians in Rome that it was through the action of baptism that they were placed at the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, allowing them to contact Jesus' life saving blood, burying their sins with Him and then, being raised with Jesus... Reborn or new born!" If you would like to learn more about important spiritual matters like this, find a local church of Christ in your community on this fine 1st day of the week. We assemble each Sunday to worship God and study the Bible, all the while looking for souls who truly want to do Bible things in Bible ways. If you would like to ask me a Bible question, just PM me and I'll be happy to give you "book, chapter and verse" answers out of the Bible.

“There is also an antitype which now saves us – BAPTISM (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience towards God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” (1 Peter 3:21). Peter is taking our minds back to the days of Noah and the great flood, where only he and his family were saved, safe in the ark God commanded him to build for the saviing of humanity. Just as Noah rose above those flood waters in the flood, we rise with Christ Jesus from the watery grave of baptism, being saved by the blood of Jesus that we contacted as we are baptized into his death, and thus being buried with Christ, crucifying the old man of sin, then arising with Christ to walk in a newness of life (Romans 6:3-5). Yes, churches of Christ readily discuss vital spiritual principles like this as we do our best to please God, being truly concerned about the souls of men. Attend a local congregation this 1st day of the week; worship God and study His words of inspiration in the Bible. If you would like to discuss this or any other Biblical matter, feel free to PM me on FB and I'll be in touch. Obey the gospel for one great Day, our Lord will return to judge men for how they've lived upon the earth.

"But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God." (1 Corinthians 1:23-24). Oh, the plan of God to save humanity - the depths God had to reach to save us from sin! It involved sending the Word to earth, who took on a body of flesh, so He... could offer that flesh to satisfy the wrath of our heaven Father against our sins! Yes, that appears so foolish - no wonder so many have stumbled over it! But we believe - and we worship God who found a way to save us from our sins. Please grapple with this grand truth and see the love that God had for you! Jesus died to set you free from your own sins! Find a local church of Christ in your community this fine 1st day of the week - come to learn and worship God, who gave a part of Himself, to save you from yourself! Jesus loves you! Eternal life is found in the saving power of Jesus Christ!

"Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved." (Romans 10:1). Now, in quoting this passage, I'm saying anything about the current military action occuring in the middle east. I'm thinking as Paul was nearly 2000 years ago... Israel (and all men) need to be saved from their sins! The gospel of Christ provides that power as Paul started the Roman letter saying said that the gospel contains the power to save all men. We sing a song from time to time that says, "Soul, a Savior thou art needing!" Life just hurries along as so many things compete for our time... but, according to the Bible, one day... we will all stand before our Creator to give account for how we lived and one huge discussion will take place: did you come to Jesus for the cleansing of your soul! And if you have, are you faithful to Him till death? These matters are eternally important! Attend a local church of Christ in your community today - we discuss matters like this straight from the Bible. If you have any Bible questions, I would be happy to answer them - you can "private message" me if you like. Today, is the day of salvation... make this day count!

"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin that so easily ensnares us,and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:1-2) Jesus paid it all... all to Him I owe! Jesus died for us on that ole rugged cross, but rose the 3rd day and ascended to heaven, beginning His reign at the King of all Kings at God's right hand! If we hope to meet HIm in that "sweet by and by"... let's start today... running the race (called life) with endurance, looking to Jesus. Today is a great day to gather with a local church of Christ in your community to begin or continue your journey towards heaven! Don't be shy, don't be lazy, don't be indifferent! Jesus gave His ALL for you so you can go to heaven; isn't it time for you starting running spiritually towards that goal yourself? Of course... and when Jesus comes again and takes you to His eternal home in heaven, you'll be mighty glad you did!

"They brought the donkey and the c**t, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them. And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying, 'Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!' And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, 'Who is this?' So the multitudes said, 'This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.'" (Matthew 21:7-11) Jesus is KING and this mass of humanity believed... for a while, until the forces of darkness pressured them a week later to shout, "Crucify Himi, Crucify Him1" This sin-sick world can zap the faith right out of us. Only a few survived through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Has this world zapped the faith right out of you? The power of the gospel is that you can still recover! Find a local church of Christ in your community today - you can still observe people who worship in spirit and truth and love preaching right from the Bible! Jesus is King and if you'll return to Him, eternity will be a beautiful thing! Make your eternity sure and wonderful... come to the King of humanity, Jesus Christ!
