“For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” -Psalm 100:5

Thankful to gather this past Sunday to revel in the goodness of the Lord. From singing the gospel, to opening the Scriptures together to proclaim Jesus from them, to reflect on God’s faithfulness to us in our covenant partnership class after church—it was a great day in corporate worship!

Look forward to seeing you a couple of days church!

“And he left there and went to the house of a man named Titius Justus, a worshiper of God. His house was next door to the synagogue. Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, together with his entire household. And many of the Corinthians hearing Paul believed and were baptized. And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, ‘Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.’” -Acts 18:7-10

Sunday we looked at Paul in Corinth. Though Paul entered the city in weakness, fear, & much trembling (1 Cor. 2:3), God was sovereignly at work drawing a people to Himself. If salvation truly belongs to the Lord (Jon. 2:9), then we can take heart to pursue people & proclaim no matter who they are or where they’ve come from. This passage serves as a great reminder for us as believers that though the journey of a life of faithfulness may be hard, we can press on knowing that the Lord who has brought us to where to we are goes before us and with us in the midst of where we find ourselves. Press on, Church!

Sunday Sermon: Acts 18:1-18

Acts 18:1-18 reminds us that following Jesus will often require perseverance through seasons of weariness, opposition, and uncertainty. As Paul arrives in Corinth discouraged and afraid, God faithfully strengthens him through ordinary believers, reassures him with Christ's presence, and demonstrates...

“As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.” -Psalm 42:1-2a

Tomorrow we get the privilege of enjoying the gift of gathered worship. Time exalting the Lord through song together. Time delving into the grace of the Scriptures together that point us to the Lord. Time coming to the communion table together to remember the person and work of King Jesus—who unites us all together. All of this a gift from the Lord for our ultimate good and His glory. See you tomorrow church!

“Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him as he saw that the city was full of idols. So he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout persons, and in the marketplace every day with those who happened to be there.” -Acts 17:16-17

Sunday we saw Paul reason with the Athenians on Mars Hill. This passage is a master class for believers on how to evangelize and reason with unbelievers not by brow beating them down, but rather meeting them where they are. Contextualizing the gospel to a people doesn’t mean sacrificing truth on the altar of relevance, but rather leveraging cultural relevance for exalting Scriptural truths. Sunday Sermon: Acts 17:16-34

In Acts 17:16-34, Paul enters Athens and confronts a culture filled with brilliant minds, rampant idolatry, competing philosophies, and utter spiritual confusion and disillusionment. He exposes the folly of trying to understand life apart from God and proclaims the one true God who created us, susta...

“I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.” -Psalm 130:5-6

We’re eager to gather together again and exalt the Lord together through song, the Scriptures, & the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. We’ll see you in a couple of days!

“The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they went into the Jewish synagogue. Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.” -Acts 17:10-11

The Bereans had a deep love for the Scriptures. They hungered for the Word, studied the Word, and filtered everything through the Word. What an example and challenge for us in a tech-induced culture with multiple things vying for our attention. If you missed the sermon from Sunday you can catch it online, the app, or YouTube!
