What a finale to Upside Down Way! πŸ™ƒπŸŽ‰

Today our kids learned what Jesus taught about true greatness: it starts with serving others. This week’s Faith Fact: β€œI will help others.”

Over the past four weeks, kids learned:
πŸ™ƒ I will put others first
πŸ™ƒ I can know the truth
πŸ™ƒ I will speak the truth
πŸ™ƒ I will help others

And our Faith Verse says it all: β€œDon’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.” (Romans 12:2)

Ask your kiddo: β€œHow can you serve someone this week?” πŸ‘‡

πŸ“– Faith Family Moment | πŸŒ™ Read, Ask, Pray

β€œI will speak the truth!”

Parents, as you tuck in your kids tonight, take a moment to talk about Paul and Barnabas speaking truth. They were willing to speak God’s truth no matter what it cost them. Let’s read the story together!

πŸ“– READ: Acts 14:8-20

God used Paul and Barnabas to heal a man who couldn’t walk. The people around them got the wrong idea and thought they were gods. Paul and Barnabas chose to speak the truth and tell everyone about the gospel. Even though it was hard, they knew it was what God wanted them to do.

πŸ’¬ ASK: Is it important to always speak the truth? Why do you think Paul and Barnabas chose to speak the truth?

πŸ™ PRAY: β€œJesus, thank You for Your Word. Help me to honor You and speak Your truth, even when it isn’t easy. In Your name I pray. Amen.”

Bible Bites: "I can know the truth!"

Parents, as you sit down for dinner, take a moment to talk about how to know the truth.

With so many voices around us, it can be hard to know what's true. Those voices can make us wonder, "Is it okay to lie sometimes?" or "Should we be friends with everyone?" Thankfully, we can look to God's Word as our ultimate source of truth.

Go around the table and talk about why it's important to know the truth and practical ways to do it. Here are some ideas to get started:

πŸ’¬ Why is knowing the truth so important?
πŸ’¬ Why can I trust God's Word?
πŸ““ Practice by reading the Bible and journaling daily
πŸ™ Ask God to show you the truth

We want to be part of your family discussion! Share your thoughts and practical ways to know the truth in the comments below. πŸ‘‡

Today in Upside Down Way, our kids explored a big question: how do we know what's true? They learned this week's Faith Fact: "I can know the truth."

With so many voices telling us what to think, we can always go to God's Word to find out what's true. πŸ“–

Faith Family Moments | πŸš— Drive Time Conversations

Truths on the Go: "I can put others first!"

Hey, parents! As you're on the road today, let's start a conversation. There are so many ways we can practice putting others before ourselves. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

βœ”οΈ Help Mom and Dad without being asked, like setting the table or cleaning your room
βœ”οΈ Invite someone new to sit with you at church or school
βœ”οΈ Let someone take your place in line
βœ”οΈ Let someone else have the last cookie or dessert
βœ”οΈ Do a sibling's chore for them
βœ”οΈ Let a sibling or friend sit in the front seat

When we put others before ourselves, we show them God's love without saying a word. Read about this truth in Luke 14:1, 7–15.

We want to be part of your family discussion! Share your conversations and practical ways to put others first in the comments below. πŸ‘‡

What a great launch to Upside Down Way! πŸ™Œ

Today our kids heard how Jesus taught that the best way to be first is to put others first, and they learned this week's Faith Fact: "I will put others first."

Our Faith Verse for this series is Romans 12:2: "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think."

Ask your kiddo: "What's one way you can put someone else first this week?" We'd love to hear their answers in the comments! πŸ‘‡
