Happy Friday!

After a few days away with my family, my heart is full of gratitude. The time to rest, laugh, reconnect, and simply enjoy being together was a gift from the Lord. Sometimes God reminds us that rest isn't a luxury—it's a blessing He graciously provides so we can return refreshed and renewed.

As I head into this weekend, I'm thankful for each of you and for the privilege of serving as your pastor. Even while away, I was reminded how blessed I am to be part of a church family that loves God, loves people, and walks together through both the joys and challenges of life.

As we move into the weekend, remember that God's faithfulness never takes a vacation. His mercy is new every morning, His strength is available for every burden, and His grace is sufficient for every need.

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)

I can't wait to gather with you this Sunday as we worship together, open God's Word, and celebrate all that He is doing in our lives.

Have a blessed Friday, and remember: no matter what this week has held, God is still on the throne, and He is still working all things together for His glory and our good.

Love you all,
Pastor Randy

Good Monday Morning, Family!

As a new week begins, I want to encourage you with a simple truth: God is already at work in your life today.

No matter what this week holds—appointments, responsibilities, victories, challenges, or uncertainties—you do not walk into it alone. The same God who carried you through yesterday is already waiting for you in tomorrow.

"This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." — Psalm 118:24
As many of you know, my family and I will be taking a few days away to rest and recharge. Thank you for allowing us that time. We love you deeply, and we are grateful for a church family that understands the importance of Sabbath rest.

While I'm away, I want to encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus. Spend time in His Word. Pray for one another. Look for opportunities to encourage someone who may be struggling. Sometimes the greatest ministry happens in the simple act of loving people well.

I am excited about what God is doing at Immanuel Baptist Church. Even in difficult seasons, we have seen His faithfulness, His comfort, and His power. I truly believe our best days are ahead because our hope is not in circumstances—it is in Christ.

Let's make this a great week of faith, kindness, and expectation. God is not finished yet!

Praying for each of you today.

Love you all, Pastor Randy

Ladies, moms, daughters, grandmothers, young women, men who have women in the their lives, and every person searching for strength in a difficult season—this new series is for you. 💛

Beginning this Sunday at Immanuel Baptist Church, we start a brand-new series: “Strong Women of the Bible.”

(We’ll pause the series on Father’s Day for a special message honoring godly fathers and men.)

Over the next several weeks, we’ll walk through the lives of women God used in powerful ways—not because they were perfect, fearless, or famous… but because they trusted Him.

We’ll discover together that:
• Strength is found in surrender to God
• Courage is often born in hard seasons
• Faith can change generations
• God still uses ordinary people for extraordinary purposes

From Deborah to Ruth, Esther to Mary, these are more than Bible stories—they are reminders that God sees, calls, strengthens, and works through His people even in uncertain times.

No matter where you’ve been or what you’re carrying, there is a place for you here.

Join us this Sunday as we begin this exciting journey together.

Memorial Day always carries a heaviness with it.

Today, while many gather with family and friends, there are others carrying memories, grief, and names that will never be forgotten.

There are parents who still ache for their child. Spouses who still feel the silence beside them. Children who grew up without a mother or father because someone gave everything for this country.

Freedom is not free.
It was purchased with sacrifice.
With tears.
With folded flags.
With final phone calls.
With lives laid down for people they may never have even met.

As your pastor, I want to simply say today:
We remember.
We honor.
And we thank God for every man and woman who gave their life serving our nation.

Scripture says in John 15:13, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Every Memorial Day points me to both the cost of freedom in America and the greater freedom we have in Christ through the sacrifice of Jesus. Both remind us that real love sacrifices.

Real love gives. Real love lays itself down for others.

Today, may we slow down long enough to remember those names, pray for those families, and live with gratitude in our hearts instead of taking this life for granted.

And for those carrying grief today — whether from military loss or personal loss — know this: God sees every tear, and He is near to the brokenhearted.

We will remember them.

Pastor Randy
