This summer, youth and leaders from Beresford Zion United Methodist Church, Clark United Methodist Church, Alexandria United Methodist Church, and Ethan United Methodist Church came together in the Black Hills for a week of service, faith, and relationship-building.

Through the Black Hills Mission Immersion, young people served at Storm Mountain Center, connected with Black Hills Works, and experienced community-building ministries through Circle of Friends and Woyatan Lutheran Church.

Supported by an Innovation in Youth Ministry Grant from the Dakotas and Minnesota Methodist Foundations, this shared effort shows what is possible when rural churches work together. What began as a shared idea is already growing into future opportunities for youth to serve, lead, and discover how they can make a difference.

We were honored to present a Builders Club check to Murdo United Methodist Church! In addition to its Builders Club support, Murdo UMC received an Accessibility Grant to help advance important building improvements.

The funding will support energy-efficient window replacements and an ADA-accessible entrance—enhancements that will help make the church more welcoming, sustainable, and accessible for all.
