New Hope Lutheran Church is a suburban ELCA Lutheran Church in Missouri City, TX; southwest of Houston, and east of Sugar Land. We believe that the Good News of God is for all people regardless of their personal status, race, creed, sexuality, or any other label or condition that divides and separates people. We are a champion of mission work to the underprivileged and vulnerable in our community and beyond, including the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, the New Hope Clinic, Family Promise of Fort Bend County, the Interfaith Coalition for Mutual Respect, and El Buen Pastor Iglesia Luterana in Usulután, El Salvador. We believe that each person is endowed with special gifts from the Creator that can be used for betterment of the world and the good of all humankind. We are proud to empower our members to service, whether through music and artistic expression in worship, or through charitable giving of time, money, and abilities in mission. It is our sincere prayer that everyone we encounter will experience the life-changing love of God through us. When we open our hearts and allow the goodness of God to take root in the good soil of our lives, that love grows in us and is multiplied through the love we show to the world.

Good morning, church! It's a wonderful day to praise God together!

It's the Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost and we continue our journey through the Gospel according to Matthew and we'll hear still another parable from Jesus. This time, an invitation to a wedding feast is extended, but those who were invited refuse. The king then invites everyone, extending the invitation and the welcome even wider. We'll talk about the times God extends invitation and gifts to us, and the ways in which we do and don't receive those.
What are ways you can share the gifts of God you've been given, church?

Join us for this morning for Faith Formation for all ages at 9:30am followed by Worship at 10:30am either in-person or via our livestream.

Good morning, church! It's a phenomenal day to worship God together in community!

Today is the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost and the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi. As we close out our Season of Creation, we'll hear a little bit about St. Francis and talk about stewardship vs. ownership. We'll hear about tenants who were called to tend the vineyard entrusted to their care, but instead acted wickedly and treated those sent to them with contempt and malice.
As caretakers of God's creation, how are we called to live in relationship with creation?

We've got Faith Formation for all ages at 9:30am followed by Worship at 10:30am either in-person or via our livestream.
