On June 11, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Bishop Vetter invites all of the faithful of the Diocese of Helena to take part in this special celebration as he joins with all of the bishops of the United States to consecrate the nation on June 11th at the bishop's Spring Plenary Assembly in Orlando.

You can find helpful resources and ways to get involved on our website, such as the nine-day novena to the Sacred Heart beginning on June 3rd, a guide for enthroning the Sacred Heart image in your home, spiritual reading on the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and more. Visit: diocesehelena.org/sacredheart

Join with our Holy Father, Pope Leo as he leads a rosary for peace on May 30.

To accompany his constant calls for peace in the world, Pope Leo XIV will lead the prayer of the Holy Rosary on May 30 at 7:00 PM Rome time from the Vatican Gardens.

He will lead the faithful in Shrines around the world in praying the Joyful Mysteries, with each decade being dedicated specifically for those affected by war and violence and entrusting them to the intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace.

The first mystery prays for the victims of war, especially the most vulnerable, while the second is for those who bring words of hope and the comfort of faith to populations affected by war. The third recalls the medical and paramedical personnel and volunteers who bring humanitarian aid every day.

The fourth mystery prays for those who suffer the violence of war, for prisoners and for all who endure humiliations that violate human dignity. The fifth and final Joyful Mystery is dedicated to praying for an end to war and the establishment of lasting peace in the world.

In case you missed it, yesterday was Bishop’s Jeff Fleming’s ordination anniversary. We are grateful for you ministry. May God richly bless you as you continue to serve His people. 🙏🏽

Today is a special day for Bishop Jeff, and indeed for the entire state of Montana. On May 19, 1992, then Deacon Jeffrey Fleming was ordained to the priesthood in the Diocese of Helena. Little did anyone know that 33 years later Fr. Jeff would be the shepherd of the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings.

Thank you, Bishop Jeff for your witness to your vocation as a priest, and for your dedication to the people of God of Eastern Montana! May the Lord bless you with many more years of service to His Church!

Drop a comment below wishing Bishop Jeff a Happy Anniversary!
