Happy JCDA Sunday! 💙 Today marks a special occasion as we celebrate the 99th anniversary of the National Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas Day! We were so grateful for the opportunity to share our JCDA proclamation at Mass, receive a blessing from our chaplain, Fr. Isaac Erondu, and present graduation cords to our seniors, President Mackenzie Thomson and 2nd Vice President Danika Hernandez. Wishing them all the best as they continue their journeys and looking forward to many more years of service and faith. 🙏🎓

🎉✨ Exciting News! ✨🎉 On February 10, 2025, at the City of Mission, TX - Government Council meeting, a special Proclamation was read, declaring Sunday, February 16, 2025, as the Ninety-ninth Anniversary of the National Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas (JCDA) Day! 💙

This proclamation honors the incredible work of the JCDA and their dedication to faith, community, and service for nearly 100 years. We are proud to celebrate this milestone, as it highlights the positive impact that young women across the nation have made in their communities and in their journey of faith. 🙏💖

A big thank you to everyone who has been a part of this amazing organization and all who continue to inspire and lead future generations of Catholic women! 🙌 We look forward to celebrating this historic day and the bright future of the JCDA.

💖 February Meeting Recap 💖 This month, our gathering was extra special as we celebrated St. Valentine’s Day by learning about the amazing saint behind the holiday. ✝️ We were inspired by his love and sacrifice, and to spread that love, we made 30 heartfelt St. Valentine’s Day cards for nursing home residents. 💌

We also had the privilege of learning about St. Therese of Lisieux, a beautiful Doctor of the Church, whose spiritual wisdom continues to inspire us. 🌸 To honor her, we created sacrifice beads as a way to deepen our devotion and grow closer to God through little acts of love. ✨

🙏✨ At our January Meeting, we were honored to welcome special guest Mrs. Judy, who spoke to our members about the beauty and importance of adoration. We then had the privilege of visiting St. Paul's Catholic Church's new chapel to adore our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. It was a profound and spiritual experience, deepening our faith and helping us grow in friendship with Christ. ⛪️

🎄✨ Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas - Court St. Rose of Lima #827 felt truly blessed to participate in the City of Mission, TX - Government Operation Holiday Spirit Adopt-A-Grandparent Elderly Gift Program. We brought an assortment of items, including blankets, socks, and coloring books, to drop off at our local fire department. We are deeply grateful to the City of Mission Fire Fighters Association for coming out to greet our members, accept the donations, and pose for a picture with us. The city then delivered the gifts to local nursing homes, spreading joy and comfort to our beloved elderly community. 🙏♥️

🥰 Our JCDA Pajama December Meeting & Party was an evening to remember! From fun team-building and competitive games to receiving adorable St. Rose of Lima Tiny Saints keychains, our hearts were filled with joy and laughter. We also had the honor of bringing donations for the City of Mission Operation Holiday Spirit Adopt-A-Grandparent Elderly Gift Program, spreading the true spirit of giving and love.

🎄🎅🏻♥️Our JCDA Officers, Chairman, and Co-Chairmen were invited to attend our senior court’s Annual Catholic Daughters Christmas Dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious Mexican food, participating in a gift exchange, and receiving a visit from St. Nicholas! It was a wonderful evening of fellowship and celebration, reflecting the true Catholic values of community, faith, and love. 🙏✨

🇺🇸🍦💙 On November 11, 2024 we celebrated Veterans Day with a fundraiser for our court at Dairy Queen RGV Sharyland! We passed out handcrafted poppies made at our court meeting the evening before. We had the opportunity to hand out many to our local Veterans and all enjoyed some delicious ice cream! Thank you for your support and to Dairy Queen for the opportunity!
