One of the great blessings I have had in all of my years as a follwoer of Christ are those who continued to encourage me to in my faith. This week in this short video, which is a prelude to the full sermon on our websiote, is the great encouragment the author gives to the church to continue to progress, assurance of salvation and to persever.

What are the aspects of a mature faith? Ever think of that? Well this week the author of Hebrews reveals four things that should be evident in one who has a mature faith in Christ. Now this can be an encouragement or a admonish*tion depending on where we are at. It is my hope it does both. Blessings!

How much confidence do you have in who Christ is? I have learned in life that confidence comes from having mature knowledge and ability and exerpeicne in something. Ever heard the expression "They are so eternally focused they are of no earthly good?" I remember when I first heard that and thought it was a good saying but now I would say we need to be eternally focused so we are of earthly good because when we are focused eternally we are encouraged to persevere and accomplish what the Lord has given us in the hear and now.

I think this as part of the problem with the Hebrew church...they took their eyes off Jesus and they are drifting with no focus on their eternal hope and it was effecting their perseverance.
