This week, we wrap up our series "Beloved," studying the first epistle of John. John concludes his letter with the hope of the Gospel—that in recognizing our sin, we are pointed back to Jesus and the salvation we receive through Him.

This week, we continue our "Beloved" series in 1 John. Verses in this passage are sometimes taken out of context, making it seem like we as Christians are expected to earn our righteousness. However, when we consider the context of the whole epistle, we see that John is actually emphasizing our need for Jesus, because we cannot live up to the expectations of a perfect and sinless life.

Thank you to Jodi and Jenna for serving our Christian School ministry this past year, taking on roles that neither of them knew the extent of and staying positive and leading faithfully. May God bless you and recreate you this summer with His grace and mercy.

🌼 Appreciation post! 🌼

It's been a BUSY year that looked a little different from years past as we awaited a new full-time School Administrator (did you see? Mrs. McCarthy is joining us in June! 🎉). Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Weekley both stepped up to help it all go smoothly in their roles of Lead Administrator and Assistant Administrator, respectively—and we think they deserve some recognition!

➡️ If you'd like to send a note, a card, a drawing from your child...anything to say THANK YOU for all you've done, we invite you to send it to the office by Friday, May 15th. We'd love to gift them with a whole heap of our gratitude as we head into summer vacation; no show of thanks is too small to share! 😊

Feel free to comment on this post also, if you have any words of encouragement or thanks for our dynamic duo—and please join us in showing Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Weekley how much they're appreciated!

How does my faith in Jesus connect to everyday life—to my work, my marriage, and my responsibilities at home and in the world? Does it connect at all? The biblical doctrine of vocation offers a way to answer those questions. Dr. Daniel Berge and Professor Clint Knutson delve into the doctrine of vocation, from its foundation in the Bible, through its development in Lutheran theology, and into its practical significance for daily life.
