Every dad wants to get this right. Most were never taught how. Here are 4 tips that work.
One kid. One hour. Every week. This is where the heart stuff comes out — but only if you show up consistently. Put it on the calendar like a meeting you can’t miss.
You still have to correct them. Just never do it hot. Walk away, cool down, then lead. Discipline shapes behavior — anger only scares them.
Play isn’t a break from parenting. It IS parenting. Kids open up and tell you the real stuff during and after the fun — not during the lecture. Fun is not always easy to find. Find it!
Hard things DONE WELL build character — and they build it faster when you’re side by side. Hike it, build it, climb it together. That’s where the deep bonding happens.
You don’t have to be perfect. You have to be present. Your most important leadership role isn’t at work — it’s at home. Save this. Send it to a dad who needs it. Follow Brave Church
