It’s June – time for graduation season! I vividly remember my high school graduation party-or rather the months before my graduation party. My parents decided that it was necessary to overhaul our entire house before it would be worthy of hosting such a gathering–the months leading up to the party were filled with house projects, painting, staining the deck, buying new outdoor furniture, and probably dozens of other projects that I didn’t even notice as a high school senior!

I can also get wrapped up in thinking that our space has to be perfect before we can invite people in-but in my experience, some of my most fun social gatherings have been informal and spontaneous. Buy a gallon of ice cream, get out some paper bowls and invite the neighbors over to your unstained, non-swept deck. Order a pizza and sit on the front porch with some friends. It doesn’t have to be perfect to provide a meaningful social connection!

Physical wellness includes getting adequate sleep and eating healthy meals. Both of these are easy to gloss over, but making small changes can help our bodies function better. What is one change that you can make to improve your sleep or meals?
