Amid fear and uncertainty in the Twin Cities, Covenant churches are living into their shared life in Christ—adapting ministries, gathering in prayer, and practicing costly love as a witness to the kingdom of God.

Our Northwest Conference Annual Meeting Celebration, held each spring, remains a highlight of our shared ministry, as we celebrate what God has done through our churches and affiliated ministries. We hope representatives from each church can join us (either in person or online), as this will be an important time to remember God’s faithfulness as we cling to the hope we have in Christ.

“Forward in Mission” captures a shared conviction that the Church is not called to stand still, but to move faithfully into what God is doing next.

Times can be hard, difficult and very painful. When we see hope fading, uncertainty and fear take over. But when we remember who we are in the Lord, we can find in him the peace, tranquility and rest we need.

We would like to invite you to join us for a service or prayer and worship, walking in unity with our Latino brothers and sisters. Please join us on Saturday, Jan. 31, from 2-4 p.m. at Bloomington Covenant Church, and feel free to invite others as well.

In case you missed it, check out Real Life Covenant Church Pastor Mike Coglan's write up on a recent clergy canoe trip at Adventurous Christians.

"Something sacred happens when strangers enter the wilderness. Walking into an unfamiliar territory with unfamiliar companions is like the journey of faith itself: stepping out without full knowledge of what’s ahead."

We were lounging on a stone shelf that sloped from our island campsite, surrounded by…

The first Covenant churches were not started by pastors but by farmers—devoted mission friends who committed their lives to reaching people. Though they were immigrants, they saw themselves as missionaries and sacrificed to start new churches and reach lost people. We live in their legacy to continue planting new churches and living God’s Great Commission.

Hector Calvo is the Lead Pastor of Agape Church, one of our newest Northwest Conference church plants. Agape is a bi-lingual church that started as a house church, and Hector is a bi-vocational church planter. In this video, Hector shares his insights about why it is important to start new churches, how lives are transformed in church plants and how churches can support church plants and church planters.
