Join Us for Easter Sunday – April 5 | 9:30–10:30 am
He is risen! Come celebrate the joy of the resurrection with us. Easter Sunday will be a vibrant morning of worship featuring a full band, a Scripture reading for children, a message from Pastor Amy, a faith story video, and an Easter egg hunt for children following the service. Together, we proclaim the good news: death is defeated, and love has the final word.

Join us Friday, April 3rd at 6:30 pm for Good Friday. We will reflect on the cross, feel a fraction of the weight borne by Jesus for the creation, for us. We’ll recount his final hours through scripture, prayers, reflection, singing, and silence. Then we will come to the Table together to receive communion, the Lord’s Supper.

Then, join us on Sunday for Easter as we celebrate Jesus, our resurrected King!

YOU’RE INVITED TO EASTER AT CITY CHURCH

Palm Sunday - March 29th | 9:30 - 10:30 am
Good Friday – April 3 | 6:30–7:30 pm
Easter Sunday – April 5 | 9:30 - 10:30 am

This Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, Palm Sunday. We will see the children wave palm branches to signify the coming of Jesus, a humble king.

Then we will turn to Good Friday. We will reflect on the cross. It will be a somber night, where we feel a fraction of the weight borne by Jesus for the creation, for us. We’ll recount his final hours through scripture, prayers, reflection, singing, and silence. A sacred time. Holy. Good. Then we will come to the Table together to receive communion, the Lord’s Supper. It signifies our belonging to his new way and kingdom, inaugurated by the cross. We will leave in silent reverence.

And finally, we will return for Easter, Resurrection Sunday. Having reckoned with the magnitude of Jesus’ sacrifice, the weight of death, we will come to celebrate its relative powerlessness in the face of a God in flesh who conquered it forever. Jesus, the resurrected King, is worthy of all worship, praise, and devotion. In Him we put our hope and trust. This foundation of our faith is worth celebrating. And we will, through song, story, video, teaching, and fun.

Come, enjoy the service, take a family photo at the photo booth, participate in the Easter egg hunt, and invite guests to be with us. We will see a foretaste of God’s ultimate victory over death and the powers that pollute this earth as we long for and await its final fulfillment. A joyous occasion.

Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the season of Lent, and we will mark it as a church with a special 45-minute service. Lent is a time to reflect on our mortality and morality. We will recognize human frailty in the face of an eternal and holy God. We will be invited to approach God, present ourselves as we are, and invite His presence to help us turn away from personal and corporate sin and toward God, who is full of mercy and healing. The service will feature singing, reflection, prayer, and imposition of ashes.

We’d love to have you join us for this meaningful worship service
on Wednesday, February 18th at 7:00 pm.

When it gets cold outside, the fun comes inside! Christmas Family Fest was a wonderful time of crafts, cookies, tales, and creatures! Thank you to everyone who turned out today and to our amazing volunteers who kept the show running! Special thanks to our petting zoo crew, who braved the elements and adjusted to the indoors for us!

See you tomorrow for church!
