U of M Diamond Way Buddhism Public meditation: Tuesdays @ 7:30 p.m. in Room 305 of Coffman Memorial Union (U of M)

We are a group of students of the University of Minnesota who practice Buddhism, meditating and reaching ultimate happiness. Our group is affiliated with an international network of over 640 Diamond Way Buddhist Centers established and directed by Lama Ole Nydahl. The centers are a non-monastic western branch of the Karma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and are enjoying guidance of H.H. 17th Karmapa T

rinley Thaye Dorje. As a group we gather to listen to a short talk about Buddhism, meditate, and enjoy spending time together while working with our minds. We often invite national and international traveling teachers to come and give lectures at the University. Meditation takes about 30 minutes, is guided in English, does not require any special clothes and doesn't not involve any complex rituals. Also, the Diamond Way Buddhist Center in Minneapolis is frequently visited by traveling teachers, and students from the group are encouraged to come to the center during those times.

There is really no difference at all between one another. Whether we perceive sentient beings, whether we perceive enlightened beings, whether we see any other beings - we try to see the similarity of our potential, the inseparability of our qualities, so in this way we see that there is no distance, there is no gap, and there is no notion of any form of differences.
