Third Saturday Outreach!

Hebrews 12:2
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely,
and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
looking to Jesus,
the founder and perfecter of our faith,
who for the joy that was set before him,
enduring the cross,
despising the shame,
and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Blessed to serve!
A post Easter meal of sweet brown sugar glazed ham, sweet potato casserole, strawberry spinach salad & mini mixed trifle dessert- was spectacular, thanks to City Hill Church.

Psalm 27:4
One thing have I desired of the Lord,
that will I seek after,
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life;
to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.

It was a beautiful day… the sun felt beautiful. The food was beautiful. The people served are beautiful. The volunteers are beautiful. Beautiful prayer & beautiful conversations also!! It was a beautiful day.

Thank you to the youth and adults from Abundant Life Alliance Church for prepping and serving the bagged meals and to City Hill Church for their chef prepared hot meal. Grateful for you all🥰

A volunteer said it best, (as we gathered to share our stories and remember Aaron) “This was one of most sweetest times spent as a team together”. It was beautiful. We miss him🥲
On another note, many have asked what happened to Aaron’s kitty, Peanut, who he would speak of often and loved so, SO much. They were best buddies & she is an adorably sweet, sweet cat! A volunteer found Peanut online @ Mpls. Animal Control.
Another volunteer then adopted Peanut and so she is now adapting to her new home, alongside another cat and a dog! She seems to be loving it and has adapted well.

Such a tough call to make: This Saturday’s Outreach is cancelled due to the low temp but more so due to the predicted winds. Not a safe combo in an area that is already a wind tunnel for volunteers and guests.
Next 3rd Saturday Outreach is on 2/21!

1 Peter 1:8-9
Though you have not seen Him, you love Him;
and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice with an inexpressible and glorious JOY,
for you are receiving the end result of your faith,

Luke 2: 10-11
Do not be afraid, I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour who is Christ the Lord.

There is no better “news” than His birth, (& His resurrection)of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus!

Christmas Outreach was yesterday on a really windy and chilly day which made for shorter interactions and less chats and yet Jesus showed up beautifully. Thank you Jesus!

Grateful for all the guests and volunteers who showed up despite the challenges. Grateful for those from North Isanti Baptist Church & Oak Park Church for prepping and serving the ham, turkey, potatoes, stuffing and more for those that wanted or needed a home cooked meal! Thank you Jesus!
Grateful for ALL who donated Target gift cards, (the goal was surpassed!) Christmas cookies, treats & more to make this outreach a little more special for those who made a visit! Thank you Jesus!

Unfortunately, few pics were taken due to frozen fingers😉

Christmas Blessings to all of you!!🥰
